@rafalemao123 Booth output is for your Monitor..in other words, if your using your master output with loud speakers to your audience, you sometimes need to hear youself better (not just using your headphones)...so a Monitor can be used to hear yourself THRU your BOOTH output. A DJ booth in a club usually has a Speaker connected to a BOOTH output for the DJ to hear himself for better & precise mixes...I hope that helps..
FINALLY an ns6 review with useful info and a beat match demo. i've gone thru 700 other reviews where all they do is slam cue buttons and quick loops. thanks jesus. nice job holmes
I just bought this yesterday....I'm BLOWN AWAY. This is my third midi controller and this unit blows away my other models (Hercules 4MX and Numark Omnicontrol)
basically ns6 is supposed to mimick a pair of TTs and ddj s1 is more like cdjs with a mixer, so if you scratch: Ns6 and if you'r more of a cdj style dj: ddj s1
Does it make any sense to use this in 2021? Looking for a first controller, deciding between this and the very new Platinum FX, but that's entry level.
@TheBlakeBuselt in my opinion i would go for the ns6 because its a neat controller and has really nice platters and its just perfect for your first controller,, got mine a few months ago and its just good
great review vid and article, is this a good choice for the time being or do you see there being something coming out in the near future or that is already available that might be more worthwhile for someone (traktor users) looking for new controller?
The first mix, which you said it was possible to do mix without cueing, it was pretty easy cause the music playing on deck A had no low (bass) so you didn't had to beat match with music on deck B. Otherwise, very good job!
Awesome review but It always seems like you like the device but nothing is better then your tracktor kontrol which was made to function very with tracktor because it was made by native instruments which the numark isn't and was meant to function very well with Itch
hey, I just got my NS6 and your review helped me to make this decision. I am new to DJ Controllers so I have a Problem. I bought it in US, because you can not get this kind of stuff in my country (Georgia, Europe). It turned out that on the box it is mentioned "US 115V". As you know in Europe it's 220-240V. Thus I am little bit confused. Can I just buy another power adapter with the same 12V 2A but capable of 220-240V or I have to buy 110 to 220 voltage converter which is much more expensive option. Hoping for your help...
ok honest opinions here please. Im now deciding between the ns6 and the s4 and i really cant decide im familiar and used to both traktor and serato. So the ns6 has beast platters and a mega solid build on it but the mixes on it dont seem too controllery but ive seen so many people use the s4 almost like an instrument and the mixes on it are insane with all the chained effects and whatnot. I guess what i'm really asking here is if the ns6 can deliver the same controller like feel that the s4 does
Two weeks ago I purchased an NS7 and had to take it back because I thought something was wrong with it. Today I purchased an NS6 and now I really need to ask this question. How can I adjust these Channel faders on the NS6? If I place the channel fader at the very bottom no audio is heard as it shouldnt be so that is cool. But when I turn the channel fader up to the half way position I stll do not hear much audio. I have to turn the audio up to about 85% just to hear audio. See part 2 below....
hey Ean. can you make a video of how to record in traktor LE. or can you tell me which versions of traktor you can record with. i really want to record my mixes. thanks in advance
Need help can not get ns6 to scratch right some people say we need serato scratch sentence or what do i have to do to fix this problem no one seems to know PLEASE HELP
Thanks for the review... but one question it appears you have a bias toward tracktor versus serato itch on a lot of the movies! WHY????? Anyways have you tried the using it as a mixer... i don't think anyone has demoed that feature.
Hey, can you use this in clubs? Is it good? Because i knw most clubs require serato cause of the speakers and stuff. . but itch should be good right? since it's part of serato? Please comment back! thinking of buying this controller.
Hey guys I'm really interested in buying the NS6, but I'm wondering whether or not it acts as a real external mixer when connected and used to control the computer or not? Meaning, if I lower the bass on deck 1 with the bass EQ knob, with it be a real potentiometer lowering the bass on the mixer or will it just tell the software to lower the bass and then feed it to the mixer with the bass already lowered?
I have tried adjusting the curve in the software but I am not sure what I should set that curve on. I really need to set these channel curve at the normal range. There is no way I should not hear audio when the channel faders placed at the 50% (half way) position I still do not here audio (and this is with the gain at it normal range. Now my Mixdeck does not give me this problem. If I move my channel fader to even 25% I can hear the audio. Why do I not hear it with the NS7 or NS6?
NJ UNDERGROUND best investment I've made! So easy to use and figure out! Took me 30mins to be able to work around almost 95% of the feature! It's crazy, it's a professionnel controller that a kid can use.
NJ UNDERGROUND depends on your budget! I myself practice and still do it only by using the speakers of the pc! Basically plug your ns6 and use the pc sound card! By doing so, it force me to pay more attention to the music since I don't have as much bass as regular or monitors speakers. Also by doing so, you don't have your light gage so it forces you to be more focus to your mixing since the only cue you'll have is the redlight of the master limit flashing! But that's how I force myself to practice. Like that you learn with a handicap how to push the software without any cue from your controller. Once that ''mastered'', you'll get your monitors and you plug everything normally, you'll have less chance of clipping and blowing your speakers! But if you want here's a great article that could help you : www.wirerealm.com/guides/top-10-best-studio-monitor-speakers. AND REMEMBER IN THE END IT'S YOUR GEAR, YOUR MONEY AND YOUR BUDGET, DON'T JUMP ON BANDWAGON JUST TO PLEASE! I myself is getting Behringer MS16 monitors! BEST BANG FOR BUCKS
@TheBlakeBuselt well im not ean but ive looked at the s4, ns7fx, v7 and the ns6. And the ns6 is just the best all around buy. perfect for beginners, and pros xD but to be honest its really a personal choice

*respect 4 the re-review*
Haha Ean Golden like squishy things. ;) Nice review man! Better than most I've seen so far.
@imani793 The pitch fader does EXACTLY that..it controls the speed of the track...hope that helps..
The first mix, which you said it was possible to do mix without cueing, it was pretty easy cause the music playing on deck A had no low (bass) so you didn't had to beat match with music on deck B. Otherwise, very good job!
That was a really really really good demo

Is Possible Use NumarK Ns6 as Interface / Mixer + vinyl serato + Virtual Dj ??
is this a good choice for a beginner?
at 5:04 is that a 2 track view? I thought in inch there was only 4 tracks visible at all times?? is there a way to collapse the extra two tracks?

ok please answer... the pitch fader is the same exact thing as the speed controller of the song too right?
@BtrayinMF hey can you please tell me how you did that?? how do you get it to mapping exactly? i want to do that
Man, i need a little help here. The NS6 comes with booth output. Ok, BUT WHAT IS THAT? or where can i search about it? thanks
you can sharpin the scratching on the ns6
I noticed this also, but realised its room for when your are pushing the master volume.
Can't decide whether to go for DDJ-s1 OR NS6. Which one and why ?

Thanks for the review... but one question it appears you have a bias toward tracktor versus serato itch on a lot of the movies! WHY????? Anyways have you tried the using it as a mixer... i don't think anyone has demoed that feature.
Excellent idea, you're not the only one;)
@djlexx86 i appreciate your help, dj lexx! thanks

@iposloso seems good alot of money thoug but in my case worth it.. thinking on getting this or the mixtrack pro to start out

ns6 or kontrol s4? interested in my fisrt controller. Please help Ean.
i think their was barely an update on serato itch already when you can display 2 instead of 4
Hey man what do you think of the V-Moda Crossfades for DJ'ing?
I have tried adjusting the curve in the software but I am not sure what I should set that curve on. I really need to set these channel curve at the normal range. my go-to controller for all my gigs
Ricky Thomas would u recommend this same exact controller for a beginner in 2020???
@lancerevo7 Definitely S4! Despite the fact that Traktor is the better software, the S4 is perfect for DDJs, especially the loopsystem.
can't wait for next month, am getting this bad boy!
I just got mine today! $399 new!
NJ UNDERGROUND best investment I've made! So easy to use and figure out! Took me 30mins to be able to work around almost 95% of the feature! It's crazy, it's a professionnel controller that a kid can use.
Sacha-yves jean-louis what kind of speakers do you recommend for practicing? I live in a hotel room and don't want huge ones just to mess around with
NJ UNDERGROUND depends on your budget! I myself practice and still do it only by using the speakers of the pc! Basically plug your ns6 and use the pc sound card! BEST BANG FOR BUCKS
Sacha-yves jean-louis Once I get more money, I'll go for M-Audio Studiophile AV 40.
Love S4 king of all controller
How about you make a Pioneer ddj s1 review?
It will be really useful
Would you recommend this for beginners?
@aimsandglen Use Trator 2 Pro or use Audacity to record your mixes.
