I did the chicken pot pie that is in the Ninja Foodi cookbook yesterday and it was quite good. It does call for 1 1/2 teaspoons of fresh thyme which I did not have but I stock dried thyme. As dried herbs are more potent that fresh I only used a rounded teaspoon but I think I could have gotten away with either 3/4 to 1/2 teaspoon. The original recipe calls for frozen peas or the additional vegetable of your choice and my choice was frozen hash brown cubes. Good recipe but what's not to like when it contains chicken and a top crust??
ItsJoan NotJoann I’m sorry, I’m going to be that person. While I think I understand your intent to promote the way you made it, your comment had nothing to do with this particular recipe. That being said. I will be trying the actual recipe from Live from the Camper soon and I’ll comment on his recipe. Looks delish! Can’t wait!
It's pronounced time dear. I think that canned potatoes can work well as long as they are rinsed like they owe you money! Everybody's local grocery store uses giant cans of potatoes to make their potato salad! I use biscuits that I snip up and push out with my fingers but that's just me. I have very little feeling or fine motor skills in my hands so I'd rather have something I can drop in rather than having to stick my hands down in because I don't know if I get burned until I see the burn. I have had some bad Burns so that's why I use the biscuit so I can sort of Sling them on like mini frisbee. :-)
