We had generations of trauma. I was a latch key key that was never given a key. I had to break into my house every day after school. First started in elementary school. Cooked and cleaned since 8. Worked (on paper) since 13. I am a survivor of child SA and child abuse as well as a rape survivor. But, I have a master's degree and a good career. I am blessed. I am still here. Only trade-off? Never had kids.

Everything starts at home. My whole entire channel is dedicated to breaking generational curses in our community. These are the things that we have swept under the rug our entire lives. So many children born into chaos and turbulence and are expected to transition into society smoothly. I appreciate your transparency and honesty. Kesha, I pray this interview heals you in some way. ❤❤❤

I do not believe in, "Generational Curses", that Scripture does not support the claim of a "curse" from past generations. That's not like Voodoo rather than biblical. I believe in Generational Patterns of Sin that were modeled in front of children. The only solution is to be born again, regeneration of a renewed mind and heart ❤️ transformation, submitted under the Lordship of Christ. No believer is under a "curse" where you are indwelt with the Holy Spirit. If I believe in cursed, why would I repent if I'm cursed by something outside of ourselves. The curse was originated by the curse of Adam, yet Christ DESTROYED the power of the devil through The Cross and His resurrection. All sin now is a choice after the Redemption, that should move a believer to Repent.

It's all homes not just African American homes. White ppl have gone through the same no two parents in the household for the children, lots of domestic abuse, children being taken away and are living though the system, lots of drugs but when it comes to gangs I don't honestly have a clue about. I can't say yes or no to the gang part because I don't know so everyone is in the same category no matter what color they are it all starts from inside the home sad but true.

    7:31 OOOOO,OOOOO, I CAN ANSWER THAT ONE MARK! 🤚
(1st point) It turns out that in the 80s, a very popular president took it upon himself to fight communism, through funding a terrorist group called "the contras" However, he had to come up with funding somehow, and so he had the idea to sell drugs to the communities we can see as ghettos today.
Now, as we all know drugs plus community doesn't equal the best outcomes for the residents look at (kensington, the tenderloin in sf, and your very own skid row) 😉
(2nd point ) BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE, The same president decided to later declare a war on drugs. which had drug dealers doing some serious time for possession/distribution. And so for anyone keeping score, if your mom or sister wasn't strung out on dope. then your dad or brother was locked up for selling it
    (3rd point the smoking gun)
so put everything above together with the race relations, and the way black people viewed police due to interactions in previous decades. Add gangster rap/hip hop, and you get the *perfect storm*
now music on the radio glorifies all the wrong messages. Or to those in the hood "a way out".(Hate the police/authority) which makes sense because, again the race relations at the time. (Selling the drugs yourself will get you nice things or noney) Kids already are predisposed to being impulsive. So How do you explain to a kid that fast money is bad in this environment. 🤷‍♂️
Plus, working-class blacks are seeing drug dealers with nice things as well. while they struggle and others battle addiction. police stopping by doing drug bust, locking said kids up and further destroying whatever is left. Not blaming the cops btw
And im bearly scratching the surface..... this only happend 40 years ago. there are still people alive to tell you themselves what happened to the black community 😐

Fear and poverty is what keeps people in familiar environments. Imagine moving to a new town and your parents are discriminated against at work, you’re discriminated at school by students and teachers, your neighbors complain about your music, your friends and family visiting, and now your children are acting out and the neighbors complain to the landlord and call CPS. You may as well have stayed in the hood. 😢

7:18 the problem is not the home, is the American society built on racism and inequality. We black people in Africa and Europe, most of us are successful and have none of these problems, and trust me a lot of us have broken home and comes from poor background but we live in society built to help us thrive not to bring us down. And if you are left at the bottom of course gang banging and drugs looks the only way out.

When you finally get away from the people who caused you the pain in your childhood and then realize what characteristics are yours and which one's are learned behaviors you can then wirk on them. Everyday you grow and you fight to be the best you. You stop looking back, you stop wanting things from people who can't give it to you, realizing that the mother figure or father figure will Bennett be the people you want them to be and finally just allow them to be THEMSELVES then you see that EXPECTING THINGS FROM PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT GIVE IT TO YOU IS KEY FOR HEALING ❤

Kesha’s issue is she developed a soul tie and became addicted to a man that was jealous of her. He used reproductive abuse to keep her connected. She had a store, and potential to one day be successful. It made him feel powerful to “ make her lose everything“ Kesha never healed nor knew how to be a parent. It’s important to heal and grow so that you can set a solid foundation. But she kept including him because she was addicted to him. You can’t help a broken man, when you yourself are broken as a woman. Now she has broken children that she lost to a broken system

She said the devil is disguising himself to me as God and its not God... she said someone is or was very very jeliousvand angry and is stabbed or was stabbed over and over very violent stabbing. I was at the retreat they tried to pull out the bad by praying over me and talking in tongue over and over for 8 days. I Never felt a relief or anything that they said I should have. I would be totally aware with the feeling of knowing God was truly God. Never happened!!! The other pastor as well as the other one have been concerned very much for me. Just what kind of curse idk they said this one she's talking about. I just get scared. I suffer with terrible scary and very bad night terrors. Black culture is really shattered. Men don’t stay with their women. I think that’s slowly changing since 1970s but women also expect too much now from the men. So they fold and leave become Pimps Gagster Dealers & all want to break into Hiphop scene.
Money changes very little about a person. It makes you more of who you already are.
This Shattered continuance has to stop. Men need to be loyal to there women and stay with 1 and women need do the same. Keep the family together. It’s so hard when the violence and the chaos and the sabotage and the greed are driving forces and not honest or love or faith drive them together they rip eachother apart. It’s sad. Black culture needs to change more rapidly and so do social norms.
Can’t imagine being 11 being SA and coming home to be whooped for being late and not saying what happened to you own Mom…
Shows a breakdown in trust between Mothers and Daughters
    That’s no good 😢

How come these things aren't happening in the South Asian community?? Or Chinese etc.? It's culture. The same way in poor white communities abuse and poverty become generational. People don't inherit ony genes but language, stories and ideas, which all form behaviours. In other word most people work on autopilot. What they inherited, good or bad, will for the most part determine their path. The only way to break this patterning of consciousness is Self Awareness. A stepping back and looking at yourself.

No, it's not the only way. However it works for a majority of people. Apply it to Christ is it helps, if it doesn't, we'll then don't use that influence. I'm sorry you feel like someone suggesting a workable path in life is somehow imposing to you. Take care.

And it's more than having 'a two-parent' home; yes....a two-parent home is important but what is most important in such dynamic is LEADERSHIP. And the fact that Black women leading in single mother households PROVES that the lack of PATRIARCHY and strong masculinity has DECIMATED Black society, and the world has FEMINISM to thank....Let the election go BLUE in November. It will be the final de@th nail in a already soulless society. 💯💯💯

Sad. Just has no self respect no security, no worthiness so if you don’t have those mindsets you could be handed the world and you would still feel like you did deserve it. I’d s still Managed to mess it up. You surround yourself with people that don’t respect themselves. How are they gonna respect you? It’s just a vicious cycle, you know better but somehow you just can’t do better something that’s gonna take years to reverse mindset, but I feel like people are acknowledging that now so hopefully it can be the start of the up swing

I hope that you would change your view of single parent homes. In some cases , just because there's no father in the home doesn't mean that he's not present for the kids. Look at TV. A good percentage of pro athletes are from single parent homes. The best scorer in the NBA, Kevin Durant, is from a single parent home. NBA legend Isaiah Thomas is from a single parent home. I personally know if a FEW single mothers who've raised good children. I'm not totally disagreeing with you. I'm just hear to say that we should do interviews with single parents who BEAT the odds. For every drug addicted single parent, there's one who's not and is raising their kids by themselves.

@@memejones17That's a lie‼️ Clearly the statistics prove that children, all children do much better in every area of life with both Mother and FATHER in the home. 85% of those in prisons come from fatherless homes. Women were not called to just "raise" children, especially boys. Father's don't just "raise" sons, we Develop & Cultivate them, moving them from Boyhood to Manhood, to be law abiding and successful citizens and future husbands and fathers. Stop the false narrative that created more hopelessness, despair and ultimately death.
