As someone who has gone makeup free pretty much my entire 40 years of life, it still astonishes me that it's such a big deal to so many people. My mom wouldn't let me wear makeup until I was old enough to get a job and buy it myself, but I was just never interested in spending the time and money on it. The few times I have had my makeup done for special occasions I just can't wait until I can wash it off. I hate stuff on my skin and feel so much better with a bare face.
I’ve been make-up free for years and always preferred fresh, clean, natural skin with moisturiser and brushed eyebrows, it’s liberating. And it is an insult when other women (and some men) say:-“Put some make-up on, you look much better with it.” (or:-“Dye your hair.”). Eff off. Valerie Bertinelli is so beautiful and has always been so natural and real..
The problem is that, after menopause, we lose our color - our hair and skin just get less color and definition. I wear makeup to not be invisible. I don't have the luxury of having an asston of money and fame - I need to be seen and treated respectfully, which is increased exponentially when I wear makeup.
Just hit 50 and I am LOVING this freeing movement
I feel like Valerie looks younger w/o the makeup.
Fantastic! I hope this becomes commonplace. Brave, beautiful women ❤
Men feel fine without makeup but somewhere along the way, women were told they needed improving. "here, put these chemicals on your face"
Ive ditched make up for years and LOVE IT.
Pam has always been beautiful inside and out , good on her for doing this and growing old gracefully other celebs should take note especially the ones that have dissed her
I’m 46 now and have felt this for maybe the last 4 yrs. ❤
I am 60 and seldom wore makeup most of my life. I think most women don't wear a lot of makeup. Certainly not getting makeup up ready for 3 hours!!
You all don’t need any junk on your faces, full stop. I love this trend! Pamela is such a personality, love her. What’s not to love about Drew and Valerie, too? 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Victoria, B.C.
