  • Firefighters were called to a huge fire at a storage facility in Manchester, with over 100 firefighters in attendance at the height of the incident.
The fire, which is being treated as deliberate broke out at the Armadillo Self Storage Unit on Earl Road in Cheadle at around 1 am in the early hours of Saturday 26th February 2022.
In this video you can see a lot of in scene footage of the fire, which was still well alight the next morning.
Also featured in the video are other emergency vehicles responding with blue lights and sirens in Manchester and Liverpool, including the Greater Manchester Fire Service TRU, Merseyside Fire and Rescue ICU pod, and other police cars and ambulances from the area.

Looks like a few random shots spliced in to pad it out. I doubt the Merseyside pod carrier from city centre was at the incident.

I 100% agree. The Technical Response Unit would not leave the M60 at Sale to attend a fire at Stanley Green, Cheadle Hulme. The whole video is just a collection of random clips.

Great example at 2:08 of the confusing scene created by trucks with all sorts of different random patches of different colours in different places. Compare the clarity of these single colour trucks at th-cam.com/video/Dp3Pa1WpPtU/w-d-xo.html

Let's be honest an incident like this is extremely rare....., no disrespect to the firefighters I bet when arriving on the fireground they got a hard on or a very wet Mott... and then took a step back and waited for the " Guvnor" to tell them what to do.... despite their extremely tough and back breaking training.... possibly initially thinking WTF happens now, we need them guys n girls but drop the macho superior I'm better than you mate cross me and I know someone who can raise your home to cinders no questions asked.... money talks... get the drift.... oh and many firefighters have gone the whole way and started fires merely to get a shout to end the bored of, " Routine " drills....

Hi we don't go around starting fires we have better things to do. I work with Manchester fire service. Our station didn't respond to that fire and we were lefted covering 5 other fire stations areas. We do not have the time to start and put out fires. Unless we are doing a controlled burned for public or for training

You have been reading too many American newspapers, find a local on call station and nip up there to see these guys who have a normal job and response as on call fire fighters, they also give time to training and work along side whole time fire fighters.
Then look at the prevention work the fire service do , so you , me and everyone can sleep safely at night.
Then there is the hospital to home service that the fire service do.
You need to understand the fire service before posting such nonsense.
Out of interest what do you do.
