It's early and I misread the title as '70 firefighters tackle a guy at Ritchie's London pub' but this was nice too, just a little bit less funny than expected.
@@BucksBlueLightVids Things must have changed as each length in Greater Manchester had station number and hose number. Someone has to take responsibility for standard testing and recording them.
Because the old ones are fourteen years old and due for replacement. Plus their engines do not meet the tough low emissions requirement to operate in the capital. Ignore all that ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️😂😂😂😂 Now having watched the video in full I realise that that was not what you meant!!! Could’ve been just relieving the first crew of their duties. The end of shift sees many/all of the crews and vehicles relieved of their duties because I’m pretty sure fire brigades don’t pay overtime!
@@BucksBlueLightVids yes I know that, but why have they replaced OKR's old Merc TL with a new Scania if it isn't going to stay there? Would it be for familiarisation purposes I wonder?
@@YelpBullhorn Yes and because the areas still need an operational TL for now, the old ones are way past their operational use times so are only used as reserve vehicles
Hey Chief! Why don't we show off the new ladder? We can flow water in about another 45 minutes again. Chief what did you say? The fire will be out by then. Sorry!
I know there are so many practical and operational reasons to change over appliances when a relief vehicle is in attendance. However it would be easier just to change crews.
@@Absolut531kmh the LFB must have awesome staffing levels...70 firefighters on a 4-pump fire. 70 divided by 4 pumps plus maybe 2 TL’s equals over 10 firefighters per appliance. I’m certainly no expert, but I’m guessing this was more than a 4-pump fire.
Blame Asset co for running appliances on well past their serviceable life. Though 14 years old is not bad for an aerial in the provinces as they probably only turn out 20 times a year. Merseyside refurbished and remounted a number of ALP booms on new chassis, they are close to 20 plus years old.

We all know they told that one old ladder truck to pack it up
"Ok, bring in the new one."
That's bloody amazing!
I noticed the TL at 2:40 is from A21 in Paddington. That station became famous in the book Red Watch about the Worsley Hotel fire.
Great footage. Nice to see the new and the old next to eacother

Thanks mate ,,subscribed ... Loved the cherry picker TTL with bending ladder.
Very good video
Great footage mate bet all those lengths of hose are confusing which pump they belong to
They aren't allocated specific hoses, as long as they have the correct allocated amount there isn't an issue

Steven Booth .... I'm fairly sure that's the actual case with all fire brigades. Every piece of kit is numbered.

Nice footage!
I was also there, nice clips!

O right ok 👍 thank you for the reply
They changed because the new one had more capability’s ie the first one was ridged the second one could bend and get over the roof more

Man, they've got some corn-fed fire fighters in London.

pubs are open now as they leave strick rules as long as they keep social distance thing

I think the second ladder/platform had more capabilities. The second one could bend over the roof more to get closer in
the newer one has an articulated top ladder section, the old one doesn't
