Vietnam Vet Shooting an M60 Machine Gun (first time since Vietnam)

  • The man in this video is a US Marine Corps veteran and fought in Vietnam. He participated in several major battles and was also in country for the Tet Offensive. He was 66 years old when this video was taken in 2013.
We take Vets out shooting throughout the year and have for some time. The weapons and ammunition are provided 100 percent at our expense. We make zero profit on these events and our goal is strictly to provide these men with an opportunity to get their hands on the weapons they used during their time in the service - Aaron Demko , BeltFeds.Com, LLC, Owner
These videos are not meant to glorify war. For most of us, the war is a major part of our lives. For many of us, handling / using these weapons again is a gateway to our past.... A time when we were young and invincible.. Its not for everyone, but can be therapeutic for some of us.... All of the weapons used in our videos are legal and highly regulated.

He the person that coordinates and calls down artillery on the target, so while he might just be sitting here with a radio in reality he's in charge of at least artillery battery (so something like 4-8 howitzers, or up to 16 mortars depending on who we're talking about). It is the most amazing thing to see a soldier, after so long, spring forward again as if they never left. Holding their weapon in their hands, remembering everyone and everything around them and just getting going again. It warms my heart to hear when a veteran gets a chance to hold their weapon again (especially if it's their specifically assigned service weapon). There is nothing like a machine gun to make you shake and almost piss. Remember a few times , after an engagement...I lit my cigarettes off the barrel. Even times when there was a "cook off" and we had to hurry and break the belt (s). Now... I was told by the VA to get a hobby... Well I have a 'few" AR platforms that I build... so I found a hobby. She asked me what I decided...I told her RELOADING...wish I could have had a camera ready to photo her face...I spent 2 1/2 consecutive years in NAM...1969-71. Even volunteered snagged an new MOS and went back in if they would have sent me back... No luck..spent another 3 years between Hawaii and the Washington DC area in a secret facility LOL,...all interesting. "WELCOME HOME" TO ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS
