It brings joy watching efren still out there enjoying himself after doing and seeing everything pool has to offer. Does bring a little sadness as well remembering what he used to be compared to now but that’s life 🤷♂️. Thanks for the videos as always
@@letusdebatenow I did say pool not snooker. Never seen it but efren said he beat Ronnie in 91 and Ronnie agreed said that efren the only person to out hustle him. He did give him a 25 point lead though. I think if efren would have focused solely on snooker he would have been great but he chose pool. Snooker a different beast with all those balls. They are smaller and just move different takes a lot of touch . What a great that would be to see efren vs Ronnie in all the various cue sports .
He is a true legend, very humble guy, I was watching Efren when he was playing in LA, and he still playing good but don’t under estimate the heart of the champion! Still Very sharp 👍 it’s not his age his composure talagang magaling si Efren the things he never stop playing that’s why his performance still accurate. And he is the real GOAT 🐐 🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸
Thanks for the match. Great to see Efren is around still, beloved in Cuba. There was a player in Cuba called Ruben "Picolino" Aguilera, from Cárdenas, Matanzas. He beat many great players from the US is said in the 50s. Won the nationals in Cuba at 79 years of age playing against Josue "El Checo" Gutierrez. That guy broke and run 45 of "Cuban Chicago" Rotation in a money match, and his opponent stopped him. If you would hang a little cheap shotgun mic over the table pointing down it would raise the video experience by 1000%. Sound is sooooooo important. You can even tell what happens in some shots just by the way it sounds
Back in my tavern days, I noticed that I would play down to my opponent, or if I was lucky, I would ply UP to the opponent. I've seen Ephren do it too. Like this match.
I'm happy seeing the Pinoy legend still compete on his beloved sport he is still good at his age, hands and vow down to the very humble and kind fellow Efren Reyes

Hello Kevin Ross. You just became one of my favorite “comment” makers. Please keep telling the Pool people,It’s not felt! It’s CLOTH.! And if you ever have to do commentary with Jeremy Jones, you have my permission,( no ) my blessing to smack him with that statement. IT IS CLOTH ! Now JJ is my favorite commentator, maybe along with Earl Strickland and Scott Frost. Now, you guys are ok, and I like ya fine, but to really call a match, ( imo ) it seems like you must be a really Top player. Not saying you guys aren’t maybe or were’t good players. But these guys are or were TOP Players who also were blessed with a knack for communicating. Any way,; It CLOTH. !
So these guys say watching someone break and run out rack after rack is boring? Try and do it if you can! Not boring! I was there when Earl Strickland ran 10 racks of 9 ball in a row and it was ANYTHING but boring!!!
I agree with you Danny, If you are referring to his million dollar 10 rack run,he actually ran 11 racks. And it was AWESOME, and I have never used that word before. Yep, Winner breaks, One ball on spot, No break box, No really Stupid 3-point rule ( use a speed gun if you must ), And it’s not a “break off”. … it’s a Break ! Get Real you wuss’s. It’s Nine Ball !!! Hit the one, and anything goes!
As far as opposite handed playing goes, snookers Ronnie O'Sullivan could probably finish a whole frame and do well. And what about pools John Morra, who used to be a right handed pro tournament player, who switched to playing left handed. As an aside, left handed pro player Mike Siegel used to switch to right, and sometimes forgot to switch back, if I remember correctly. If he puts in daily practice, Reyes can still play a mean one pocket game with more moves than a pro ballet dancer.
Maybe Predator should send an offer to Efren to sponsor him. Efren could have made a lot of extra money over the years if he had a big cue company sponsor him. I know he was sponsored for a little while by Meucci, but that didn't seem to last long.
His eyesight has been degraded and his shoulder too due to his age, he said that to one of his interview few years ago when he stops competing internationally.

I don't know about "everything". I've never seen Efren run with the big boys in snooker.

I play pool because of him!

Congratulation Efren Reyes🇵🇭👏👏👏
It's that silky followthrough that remains, and still makes him formidable. To me he is still the best of all time.
The Fedor Emilianenko from the pool table.
You know all about silky followthroughs eh? Keep a spare pair around is my advice.
Agreed! Infact, I just give a new acronym for our Idol Efren Bata Reyes, as not just the G.O.A.T but, He is the B.O.A.T, The Best of All Times!
you can't second guess Efren's next move. He is on another level

Epic battle; especially at his age.

Glad to see Efren come through.👍👍😊
There should always be a shot clock, mayb in a hill-hill game, add 30 seconds. Otherwise, you will have players like Ryan taking way too long.
That was an impressive shot Ryan made on that one ball bank, BUT 6 FULL MINUTES IS INSANE! There needs to be some kind of limit. Good greif!
yeah i had time to make a cup of noodle and a glass of tang

I think shot clock is good help to keep from over thinking. 30 seconds with one extention per ball? Or just go 1minute and that is it no extentions.

He pushed it around the ball hit in the center hooking to the stick to the left to hit right.
In the 16th rack i cant imagine efrens opponent just walking around the table for almost 10 mnutes getting his turn to hit that ball number 1. Hahaha

We call him Hollywood at Fat Cats Billiards in Arden NC. Ryan gave Reyes a good match.
A few years back, players wore tuxedos in pool tournaments... this guy is wearing his pajamas.
