    Hi David, I've been browsing your videos. Do you have a lesson on how to play chords melodically, as you demonstrate in the video? You not only show the different colors but you played them broken as well it sounded very nice

      Chords can be played solidly or with the use of Arpeggiation which is a device used to keep the music moving forward, especially of a long-held melody note. The important thing to remember is that they must be played in time. Arpeggiation is used at the discretion of the arranger.

      Actually, all I’m doing is arpeggiating chords to create forward movement when the melody is being held on a longer value note. You’ll notice when the melody is moving there is no chord arpeggiation since the shorter melody notes are creating the forward momentum. The important thing to remember is everything must be counted. 😎
