I have the 5600x paired with a 7800xt.. is this enough to play triple A games and esports titles on constant 100+ fps? or should I upgrade to an x3d chip?
Esport games, your fps should be constantly above 100fps. To get over 100fps constantly in ALL triple A games, an x3D chip is the way to go cuz of that extra cache it has. That helps keep fps more consistent. It also depends what triple A games you’re playing and at what resolutions.
I have 7800xt and 5600x and it's true that in many games card runs underclocked being held behind by processor. There îs a good bottleneck that blocks my coreclock speeds and voltage. For now i accepted this bottleneck cause it's still running pretty smooth but at the moment this gpu îs working at -10% of its total power. Gpu utilization goes to 99% but it undervolts it as it doesn't handle the speeds.
@@pR0ManiacS you won’t always get top frequency as this varies depending on game you play. I wouldn’t worry about it when your gpu utilisation is 100% on close to that. Your system is balanced. I just want to point that in most of games your CPU load was under 70% while GPU was 85-95% which mean GPU was bottleneck of your test. For tests like this you look to stress CPU more than GPU (need better GPU preferably top one)
I would also like to add that it is easy to adjust game settings for 60 fps but, we cant compare this CPU with the others. I think you need to set the game to max settings CPU-wise. Also, in this video, benchmarking it against a 7000 cpu would help us see the difference. ( You could use hardware unboxed data in case you dont have the equiptment.)
just bought this. I could have bought a 3-5k system, but I chose a 5600x because it was so cheap and is incredibly power efficient for only 1-10% lower performance.
Got this but I'll be honest here, i only got the X version because at the moment i bought it, it had a discount and it was cheaper than the non X version. At this point everyone knows both are basically equal. Also, i might warn any that my want to buy this cpu, i had to change its fan after 2 years because the temps were just not good, and around the time i had to renew the termal paste, i easily went over 95°C, and my pc constantly turned off. Even with new thermal paste and custom fan, i get to 85°C when stressed enough. It performs good but, if had enough space, i could slow cook some chicken in my case jeez

Ended up getting a 5500 instead. It was selling for $120CAD while the 5600X was going for $180CAD. Figured I would forgo the 1440p gaming requirement.

If you eventually upgrade your cpu I would do the 5800x3d if you want a good jump in Performance. The 5600x and the 5600x3d jump isn’t gonna be as noticeable. 1% lows will be better but avg fps won’t change much. But yeah I would ride AM4 as long as you can! No need to upgrade for a while.

I have a 3600 right now and have been going back and forth on what to upgrade the CPU to for my 4070. Was thinking the 5700x was a nice middle ground cause my x470 board isn’t the best ever. But then I saw the price of this CPU is like $100 right now. My big worry is 6 cores instead of the 5700x 8 cores. Most consoles are using 8 cores so will that lead to performance issues if I get the 5600x?

@@Techomode forgot to tell that I game at 1440p.. if the price is right here in my country I might get a 5700x3d
@@pR0ManiacS you won’t always get top frequency as this varies depending on game you play. I wouldn’t worry about it when your gpu utilisation is 100% on close to that. Your system is balanced. @@Ornal64 in the meantime i've learned about this. But there's some bottleneck in god of war miles morales especially If you're using upscaler or afmf there's more workload on cpu, as You go down on inițial res and it pushes fps higher unneed a fast cpu. Buut: it's on paper and stats. Cause at 110-120 fps 1440p tbh there's no issue If it drops to 100 in some scenarios dur to this bottleneck. Exactly when gpu goes to 80-90% usage.

My 5600x with 6900 xt. Still work great for 2024
I just want to point that in most of games your CPU load was under 70% while GPU was 85-95% which mean GPU was bottleneck of your test.
Great video very informative and entertaining at the same time.
Klaus is the man 💯
just bought this. I could have bought a 3-5k system, but I chose a 5600x because it was so cheap and is incredibly power efficient for only 1-10% lower performance.
rocking ryzen 5 5500 with stock cooler and rtx 3080. Works great
I'm using 5600x with 3060ti and I still manage to run all games on ULTRA 1440p at least 75 fps (including BodyCam). Definitely worth it in 2024.

Hi, great Video😊. Would the rx 6800 be good with the 5600x?
If you play at 1440p it will be a good combo. At 1080p you will see some minor or major bottlenecks depending on the game.
My AM4 systems all with 5600 or better are dropping like flies as I sell them off for AM5 deals. Just snagged new 7800X3D for $260 and $220 locally. At these prices I am pushing out my lowest end parts while I can still get $100 for them. Just swapped out my 7600X for a 7800X3D in my Media PC that can run 4k 144hz or 1080p 240hz. Paired only with a 6700XT so the 240hz 1080p option is a nice touch. I was getting 300-500fps playing TitanFall2 in the living room with full surround. for most people that game, an aftermarket air cooler is more than enough (and cost effective).
also, if your considering the 5000 series, *GET THE 3D version of the cpu!* they are the best for games!! (vids on this on YT).
