I started with moly disulfide in the '90s but have been a loyal HBN coater for thirty years. No naked bullets! I have several five shot groups under 0.2 MOA groups at 540 yards with .22 BR bolt action rifles and .224 Valkyrie AR-15. Many trips to shoot small furry creatures at distance. Very useful for varmint shooters.

Do you use media in with the bullets?

Hi Chuck, no medial in the bowl or in with the bullets. Just the bullets and HBN go into the vitamin like bottle

Once the bullets have run and removed from the HBN and buffed in a soft rag it is hard to recognize whether any coating is deposited or not. Is this normal?

They will have a dull or waxed type appearance and will be slippery to pick up. It is normal.
