- After selling my Street Triple 765 RS after only 2 months, I want to see if this older Street Triple 675R might have been a better choice for me!

I've got a 2009 daytona 675 with helibars for comfort. Hard to beat the Triumph engines and frames.
The Street triple (any year) is the best road bike i have ever ridden. And the latest 765RS the best Street triple i have tried. The 765RS refined the 675R/Rx shortcomings. Compared to my 2015 675 Rx the engine of the 765 has the right amount of performance. Suspensions of the 765RS are much plusher, the quickshifter is much smoother and the brakes sharper. The ABS of the 675Rx is basic and intervenes too soon too often. Until the 2024 Yamaha MT09 the 765R was in my opinion the best motorcycle deal of the market. But the current MT09 offers more for the same money. Nonetheless, I still prefer the 765 engine to the CP3, it is sportier and sounds better. And I prefer the ergonomics and handling of the Triumph also. The second best motorcycle that I have ever ridden? The latest Speed triple 1200RS. It is basically a very very fast 765RS. In my opinion too much for the road. That is why I still place the 765RS at the top of road motorcycles.
@@brunocarmona4958 interesting, thanks for watching and sharing your opinion!
I have the same 675r in white and red....it's perfect
Greetings from America. I can see how a less powerful bike would be better based on the roads you ride on. Here in America the roads are generally straighter and much wider, making a Street Triple a great option.
Have you tried the Ninja 400 or 500? Based on your roads and your need for less power I think it might be an excellent option.
And as soon as I commented I see that you have a ZX4 video!
I've owned and loved 3 different mt07's, a ninja 300 and a grom haha, I love smaller bikes! Thanks for watching ✌️
I have a 2012 in imperial purple! Loce it.
@@chrism2431 that's a nice colour!
All time fav bike love my 2014
I just bought one! 2014 grey and red colorway. Amazing bike.
I think im going to buy a used 675R as my first bike next year. Love the looks and the sound of the bike. Might be a bit much power for a first bike but we will see.
@@photomorti it's probably doable as a starter bike if you have some self restraint haha
@@RickChardet I think i have some restraint now im 36. Got a lot more aware of the dangers also when driving my car.
Love my 675rx, plenty of real-world performance. Speed triple throttle tube is the only mod you need really. An exhaust is also nice for the noise and to save weight, and I also fitted a lithium battery, quick ways to save a few kilos. I also lost 30kgs this year! Need to get it mapped, and also fit the Ohlins shock I have and set up the forks. So much fun!? 😃😊
Nice video! im currently looking into buying one of these bikes and was contemplating getting a 2017 765rs instead of a 2016 675r but now i am definatly getting a 675, cheaper and having ridden one i also loved the brakes and handling.
For the street I would definitely recommend the 675R!
I thought I was set on a brutale 675 but you made me reconsider again. I guess it' time for a test ride..
@@mathieu2600000000 they're beautiful bikes but definitely have their quirks haha, a testride never hurts!
Once again, quality content.
Are you gonna do a H2SX soon?
@@vengpkertje cheers bruv, maybe ninja h2
big YES

Hi you got a new sub. Nice video keep on going. Love it. I will be there supporting your videos .
@@aswethjosejob8691 appreciate it, thank you for watching!
In my Triumph progression I had a 2014 675R for 6 years, then a 2018 765RS for 3 years, now a 2019 Speed RS. I loved the 675R, but the 765RS was a step up in enjoyment in all ways, better suspension and chassis, better brakes, similar bottom end but progressively more mid-range torque and top end power, and I think better looks. I prefer everything about my Speed RS to the 765, except the gearbox…it’s noticeably less slick, and takes more care to achieve smooth shifts. It’s about as close to an ideal all around naked bike as I’ve ridden.
@@RacerJuan42 glad to hear you've enjoyed the 765 so much!
street weighs 30 kg less than speed triple.
Does it bother you?
@@matimateo6932 not at all, the speed handles incredibly well…it’s not quite as agile as the Street, but it’s not that far behind. I also ride an FJR 1300, so the Speed is a relatively light bike to me.
