    Beautiful Covered Bridge! It brings back memories when I would travel with my grandparents and parents. Awesome footage of driving on the brick road! Hopefully you can stop at some of the places that were closed on the way home. Safe travels!

    Loved the covered Bridge Will and Dawn. We have alot of them here in Lancaster County as well. We laughed at that train blowing it's whistle every time that you tried to talk. It was really neat seeing the old original brick road. We have really been enjoying riding along with you both on tjis adventure. Thanks for taking us along. We can't wait to see where the mother road takes us next and what adventures lie ahead.

    We live in the suburbs of Chicago. We get up early and just drive and find small towns and out of places...Shippshewana Indiana which is a big Amish area has many old covered bridges. We picked up a map from one of the little shops and hit all of them several months ago.... I think around 12 to 15 of them along with going through different old towns... We are going to go a couple days this week and go through some towns you guys hit and explore... had to go back a couple times to try to catch a couple towns you were in. We are going up to Hannibal Missouri....we were in Gatlinburg 2 years ago. I hadn’t been there since I was young and First time for hubby.... Pigeon forge was so small really nothing there. I couldn’t believe how much it has grown. Thank you for the vlogs. We will be enjoying the rest of your journey with you.

    I PERSONALLY LOVE THE SOUND OF THE TRAIN... LOL... Back in the 60's and early 70's most stores were closed on Sundays, because Sunday was the day of rest. People actually went to church as a family for the most part. I remember when Kmart started to open on Sundays from noon to 5pm. They got a lot of grief for it, how dare they exchange money on the LORD'S day. That's why you find so many stores in the south closed on Sundays. Sunday is the LORD'S day and a day of rest and a family day...

    Will and Dawn, Thank you for Visiting my Old Hometowns! The Sugar Creek Covered Bridge is where we would go all the time as kids. At that time you could still drive across it in your car! We would ride bikes out to it as well. If you noticed the Sign Pioneer Park there? My Great, Great, Great Grandpa, Robert Pullium built the First Log Cabin in Sangamon County at that site. Auburn Brick portion of alignment was always a treat to go on too. And where the Ice Cream Fountain in Girard was..if you went over tracks, that's where I lived before moving to FL/TN. Lots of Memories. Thanks!!!! PS..I saw you pose with the Chain of Rocks Bridge in the background, but did you get to go to it and walk across?

    Sunday....if a place in your passport is closed on the day you are there, just take a selfie in front of the place, print a picture, and paste it on the page instead of getting a stamp. That sounds like something that would have been done back in the early days of Route 66 :-)

    • @rockycoyote
      @rockycoyote 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Im Robin Now that is funny! As a youngster we were on Route 66 in Claremore, OK taking a picture with a Polaroid Camera at the Will Rogers Memorial. I had forgotten that. Maybe Will and Dawn will stop there :-) Will should at least stop and say hi to Will....
