The glass lookout on the tower was absolutely frightening. Being afraid of heights I would have been scared to death. I give you credit Dawn you had not problem with it. Kim would have done it too. Dawn your eyes when you tried tbe Italian beef told it all. 🙂 so funny. We can always tell what you think of something when we see your eyes. The fountain was beautiful. Another Fun Fact : Lake Michigan is so big you could fit the whole Country of Ireland in Lake Michigan and still have room left over. And Lake Michigan is over 925 feet deep at it's deepest point. And because Lake Michigan is not Salt Water the Planes and boats that have sank to the bottom of Lake Michigan will never get corroded by Salt Water. Because it is a fresh water Lake and not an oven. And there is what they call the Michigan Triangle. It is like the Bermuda Triangle were if you go over that area in the water or fly over it the plane or boat you are in will be lost forever like if you fly or take a boat over the Bermuda Triangle.

Can’t believe the many times we have came to Gatlinburg we had never went to Roaring Fork. Highly, recommend it to the channel! Thanks again! ❤️
This was great start do your Route 66 series. I’ll be looking forward to the rest of it. Thank you for sharing. Route 66 was on my retirement bucket list but that was 13 years ago when I retired so I really have not had an opportunity to take that trip due to a number of factors. So I’ll be enjoying your trip and live vicariously through your travels.

I loved going to Chicago. Next time take the artitectual boat tour, it was my favorite thing we did. they take you through the canals of the city an you can see the skyscrapers from a diff views. The tour guy told us the history of the city. Did they still have the red double decker buses. That is a wonderful way to get to all the attractions An sit on top an see the skyscrapers. every 20 min a bus comes to the stops. It took us all over. The giodanos pizza was amazing. Navy pier was neat. Loved Garrett's caramel corn. It's the best. Where you able to park you're car at the hotel.

Reminds me of hotel's when I was young in New York. They always had the towels in the shower and all the amenities. Giordano's is the best pizza. Went to Chicago and did the Navy Pier . We walked from there to Giodanos, because parking was so expensive. Saw " The Bean." Love the hotel history!

The funny thing about Chicago Pizza is how many different places claim to be #1 and have some survey to back it up. Goridano's, Lou Malnati's, Uno's, etc. And they are all really good, so there's no way to go wrong.

One piece of advice when travelling.....bring your own toilet paper. Leave the John Wayne toilet paper at the hotel! Chicago Pizza is very filling. We remember trying Gino's East when being in Chicago. Make sure to try some Garrett's popcorn if you are still in Chicago. Thanks for sharing!

We went to that gummy factory while camping at Indiana dunes for my husbands bday. The kids loved it we each walked out with a bag of gummies
Plain gummy bears travel 6000 miles!! Chocolate covered gummy bears don't stand a chance lucky if they make it to the next mile marker🤣 aww Dawn lil AL looks adorable nesting in your hat 😊

You guys were up near my husbands hometown. We have drove by the Albanese factory so many times, but have never stopped, lol. I went to Chicago twice and the first time I went there we stayed at the Congress hotel!
they have river boat ones too that go on the chicago river downtown
I've stayed in hotels with similar toiletries. I bet that they include a sewing kit because of people attending functions or weddings and you never know when you may have do a quick garment repair. Cheers and safe travels!

You were staying only four miles away from our nephew's house at the beginning of this video. We were there on Labor Day! The views of downtown and the lake are beautiful! The pizza looks great! Go to our favorite Lou Malnati's next time you're in town! Towel rack in shower looks weird. Great video!

Haven't been to Chicago in quite awhile. We used to go visit family every summer in Dowagiac Michigan and we would go to Chicago. Making me want to go back. It's8 hours from KC. Forgot how windy it was there.

Lake Michigan is Gorgeous i spent a lot of time there. Then Pizza 🍕 is second to NONE. I grew up on the Chicago deep dish Pizza. Of course I will always say My Mom's Pizza is the BEST cuz she makes me lol 🤣😂
