Bargain, I scored a boss260 5speed manual few years ago for 6k too. Swapped wheels, added short shifter kit. And a good buffing n TLC. Love BA XRs. Good to see people still modding, swapping motors bit over my head. Radiators n water pumps is all I've done, plus speakers, amps n head units. Years ago.
I paid like 40k for mine (i think🤔), in 2005…. Still have it. Its sits in the shed with the other cars i wont sell 😂. Im a car hoarder lol. Mine is 05 BA XR6T MK2 with built BTR the same colour as yours. This is why i clicked on your vid hahaha.
I paid $3,000 for one with under 200k kms for a BA XR6T with a XR6 cream leather interior and door cards. It wasn’t running but had only done a fuel pump. Drove 700kms bought it sight unseen towed it home ordered fuel pump and changed out steering column and ignition which had been broken, owner had lost the keys and broke the steering lock to move the car as he had to move house at the time. Defs needs some TLC and good clean up supposedly did 500hp 500kw on the dyno at wheels but I’m not sure if seller was telling me pork pies. But still for $3289 for car and Fpv fuel pump she runs and fired up as soon as key went in and switched ignition over. Bargain.
bro i just did this 2days ago in mine. swapped motor at mechanics, and we spent 2hours on the spigot bearing. ended up using a recip saw and our spigot ended up looking exactly like yours. Then i googled another way to do it and saw people doing the bread trick ;( Good price aswell for your xr6. 2years ago i paid 13k for 2005 t56 xr6t. and just doing all the mods i want to do to it now. Also spent 40mins yanking at the 2 old dowel pins for the sandwhich plate because forgot to buy newies lol
@@wardy1337 if it was anything like mine bread wouldn’t have worked haha, bearing pullers are useless as well, the only other thing was a welder and a slide hammer but I didn’t have that. Yeah I think I got lucky, the guy had it up for 9,500 and I just saw the money in spare parts.
6k is a bargain. I have ba xr6t it has phase 3 aps system, full adj pedders but hasnt even done 70k. Dick Johnson signed my dash too. I have mal woods t56 ready to put in, just gotta find the time.
Yeah I guess I got lucky. If you're doing the t56 yourself they are shit to bleed but I have a trick. Hook a line from your brake caliper nipple to your bleed nipple on the t56, open them both and just pump the brake slowly until you see the fluid come into the clutch reservoir. Easiest way.
