This was a great start! Are you using the midi output of your mixer to go into your interface? Not sure how you have that configured. Is it possible to map your EQ controls and compression controls to the E cues or plug-ins inside the studio one? I am an a Midas M32 and would love to use up as a control surface for studio one.
The only way to map the controls in that way is done by patrick, check him out, great coder, he wrote some code to create an x32 app that can perform those functions with reaper but I think the project died there because the other daw manufacturers didn't respond while Patrick was working on the code. it's better than any budget interface but not better than the interfaces at about 1,000 and up. It sounds professional either way and as you know you can easily get professional results with the budget interfaces of today with good knowledge, production, and performance. I plan to add a master bus processor to the chain
That wont work this way, you can only use the banks of 8 the traditional way to get that functionality, this way is to use x32 to control studio one mixer tracks without mouse. When I use it this way i only use the mouse to edit audio and behinger controls the tracks. but if you have a windows machine there is something you can download to get that functionality from Patrick, he's a programmer and solved this issue th-cam.com/channels/XoGiEs-ir4XC1Mybef0_MQ.html checkout his page. I tested it on reaper and it worked bidirectional and i could use all effects on the mixer as daw plugins. he's great

@@VeracityTT Dont know how relevant this is to your situation/setup, but I was able to get the x32 to work this way with cubase without any additional programming. What I did was just to check the transmit function in the mapping for generic remote and it worked. There were some other bugs with the whole setup though, so it still doesnt work perfectly

How is the quality sound of this nixer for studio?

it doesn't go higher than 48khz like other interfaces that can go to 192khz for recording
still didnt see the bidirection move the fader with your mouse and lets see if it moves on the x32
