Managed to get my faders working in logic, in logic select mackie control logic control, x-usb in and out. On the console itself set midi in and out signals also mackie mcu and card midi. in the learning assignments in logic set up the learn assignment as demonstrated in the vid, you'll need to select channel strip type as fader bank, value settings format unassinged mode scaled. That will sort out the faders. So you should be able to set the gain input and control the volume on faders only issue i can see here is that the gain control here is actually the main volume control as you are affecting the volume both pre and post gain. A 3db drop in volume is happening twice, once in logic before it hits the desk and then on the desk for each channel, I would suggest using the bus routing section set your audio to bus groups and have a stereo output from logic via e.g. channels 31 and 32, then all your audio is routed within logic and outputed via 2 channels the desk contols the faders and you will have the inputs and initial gain input for recording. Food for thought.
Hello, I am setting up the channels right now, But its registering upside down. For example I go down on the fader and then logic goes up. Etc please help
I hate the fact that Behringer with all it and logic pro x updates has not updated this post. Things do not look or have the same layout as explained here. I posted here 1 yr ago and still have not got the x32 to function as a DAW controller for Logic Pro X current version as of today 10/27/18. I am already looking into the PreSonus SL 32 v.3 because their board "supposedly" with their Studio One DAW works well. I love my X32 but the lack of updated videos from the company, not so much. There is NOT a single procedure listed below by the company or the users comments that I have not tried. Faders jump all over the place and don't work worth a damn. Just exceedingly frustrated. I have been considering the M32 as an upgrade but I can't trust there will be any different. So as the last attempt has anyone got the x32 to actually work with Logic Pro X v. 10.4.2 and x32 firmware v. 3.09. if you have I could really use a STEP by STEP instruction on how to make this work. Thank you in advance.

I’m connected via usb, I set up the midi settings just like in the video, but my Logic Pro x doesn’t show parameters when I go to the control surface screen. It also doesn’t show up when I go into control surface setup... can you help?
is it possible to combine X32 Produce with X-touch and extenders? to get more faders... Midi or network, or usb? My current setup is X-touch and 4 extenders (40channels), but want to integrate more outboard gear, maybe with an X32 Produce, i need the 19" rack mount , hope you can advice me, thank you
I have my laptop hooked up and my outputs are my Behringer X32. I have my headphones connected to my mixer as well, and I even have Spotify playing and I don't hear anything through the headphones. Nothing from my laptop is being heard, even though the levels and outputs are properly picked. Is there a setting I have to change on my mixer in order to hear everything from my laptop through the mixer, and headphones ?
Yes if you plug it through USB/Firewire into your computer and in the desk change the midi out to be "mackie control" and then go to the top right hand side in logic under "Logic Pro X" then controller assignments and then setup. Then click install, locate the "Mackie Control" and click add. Then change the in and out ports to "plug 1" this will then auto-assign the desk to be a control surface of logic. Hope this helps
Hi, It seems a long job setting up all these things to be work in Logic, pan, volume etc. Does the X32 actually store the information, or do you have your set the mixer up for every session again?
hello i own the xair 18 and Behringer x32 im using logic with the x32 can you please help me with my midi assign when i assign faders the go the the wrong way when i push fader up on console its goes down on logic please help?? this is the reason i i purchase the x32! thanks
@@BehringerKnowledgeBaseOfficial Why haven't you created a Logic Pro Profile for this Desk? The ability to plug-in the desk and have it detected automatically would be amazing.
From what I can tell, no, you can use all faders in this manual configuration. The 8 assignment channels thing seems to be if you're using the DAW Remote option with Mackie Control. In that mode, Bus 1-8 will be used for controlling Logic, but that is it.
Can you elaborate? I'm confused on how to find the advanced midi learn settings? Is it on the board or on logic? Whats the step-by-step for opening these settings? Thanks!!
Farnam Music in the 'Controller Assignments' window click on the 'Expert View' button. In the expanded window look to the bottom right side of it to where there are three lists. This is what the Behringer support guy was directing us to. My advice is to adjust the settings as they suggested, move the fader and then quickly click the 'Learn Mode' button before Logic 'intuitively' changes them to the wrong settings.

Five years later, they stil have zero customer support.

Would this same procedure work if I was using a Midas m32
Is it possible to use JUST as a DAW controller? I have my own audio interface.
Yes if you plug it through USB/Firewire into your computer and in the desk change the midi out to be "mackie control" and then go to the top right hand side in logic under "Logic Pro X" then controller assignments and then setup. Set your value format to unsigned and mode to direct after switching the leran mode off
Change scribble strip
Is it true you can only do 8 assignment channels

Can the X32 be used as an interface and a control surface in Logic X at the same time?
So I will need to connect through a MIDI interface to use the DAW control functionality?
Long way smh
Not got anyone who can talk there? If it's good show it off by recording the voice over with it in English, French Chinese, Spanish, should do.
