What impressed me the most is the courtsey of that senior lady officer. When the guest and her subordinate were standing she also stood up while engaged in conversation. Next is Malayali Police officer introducing her by name. Not an iota of senior junior ego and muscle flexing. Here we can't imagine that. If you go to a Police station you have to cross so many hurdles by muscle flexing Pan, Gutka chewing uncultured creatures with no respect to fellow human being. We have to call "your majesty" to a Constable to Director General. Leave helping of accident victim, our Policemen don't have even the heart of not stealing personal belongings of accident victims. No shame to extend their hand for asking money. We are living in a grossly mismanaged politically abused democracy and Police administration. No hope for repair and cure of this inherited culture, it seems very difficult. We have to live with this shit till our last day.
There is no political will to improve the police system. Despite so many recommendations, the politicians don't want to implement them. Poor recruitment standards and lack of proper background check causes characterless people to enter the service. Tbh, our police system is still stuck in the colonial age, but without British officers.

What impressed me the most is the courtsey of that senior lady officer. When the guest and her subordinate were standing she also stood up while engaged in conversation. Next is Malayali Police officer introducing her by name. Not an iota of senior junior ego and muscle flexing.
Here we can't imagine that. If you go to a Police station you have to cross so many hurdles by muscle flexing Pan, Gutka chewing uncultured creatures with no respect to fellow human being. We have to call "your majesty" to a Constable to Director General. Leave helping of accident victim, our Policemen don't have even the heart of not stealing personal belongings of accident victims. No shame to extend their hand for asking money. We are living in a grossly mismanaged politically abused democracy and Police administration. No hope for repair and cure of this inherited culture, it seems very difficult. We have to live with this shit till our last day.
There is no political will to improve the police system. Despite so many recommendations, the politicians don't want to implement them. Poor recruitment standards and lack of proper background check causes characterless people to enter the service. Tbh, our police system is still stuck in the colonial age, but without British officers.
Bribery is mainly due to low salary and lack of accountability. Govt must try to solve these.
Eternally Thankful to our colonial masters for this
