In the past, I think Game Freak has generally done well to learn from past errors, and improve the next game going forward. Although, they do like to experiment with new things also. So whilst I trust we won't get the same issues we had with SV, I'm sure there will be something else to take the blame.
bring back cleaning the badges, bring back hms and using them on the map, bring back gym leaders, use a voice command when u play pokemon u can say squirtle use tackle and it will do it, getting used to your own voice could raise its friendship etc. etc.
The whole reason gen 9 didn't have a set battle mode and you couldn't turn off animations was because being able to play multiplayer and see each other's Pokemon and stuff they probably didn't know how to code around that doing their open world game with actual multiplayer even if the multiplayer was Bare Bones
This was what the speculation was when it first came out, the Pokemon company had never done something like this before and many of us think they simply didn't know how to make a system that could do different things for each player based off settings.
Not sure if Legends ZA will incorporate improvements on the Synchro Machine, or it being reserved for Gen X, but I sure hope we get to see that function again soon!
Pokemon should be just kept simple but with many features, no need for unnecessary high-end graphic and can see wild pokemon walking around, hidden in grass is just find. So by keeping it simple maybe less glitch.
Technically that's not a glitch, you were just running into a barrier to keep the player from running past the legendary, but it gets the point across.
I feel like sword and shields story needs voice acting even more then scarlet and violet. The latter had at least a good story to read but a lot of sword and shield was just sports hype. Also gotta say with like a thousand pokemon to already animate I don't see that last point happening lol
I completely agree with your point about the integration of "HMs" - or having your Pokemon feel like a real part of the world. Legends Arceus had this kind of figured out, having a Graveler smash the rocks to enter a tunnel, Having Ursaluna being a ridable Pokemon, that can sniff up buried items and so on. You can easily scroll through your party to decide which Pokemon you want to send out, without having to rearrange your team. Its just a damn shame, that most of these HM mechanics were put on Pokemon that was not a member of your team. All the terrain Pokemon were summonable mounts, and the actions your party Pokemon could do wasn't very interesting. When you threw out a Pokemon in LA they just did their task and returned, or just stood emotionless and stared at you. I think they mixed the open world real time flow really well with the turn based combat system, i just want to see it taken even further. Scarlett and violet had the auto battle thing working really well, also giving them a tiny bit of personality. I liked the fact that you could send out a Pokemon to follow you around and giving it very simple commands. I really feel like i connected with my sciscor in Pokemon violet, since she has been on my heels on a lot of my shiny hunts. She tells me when she is tired and wants a break and takes a nap when im afk, resting up and getting ready to get back to a hunt. But for all HM purposes, you had to get on your mirraidon - the "do everything motorbike Pokemon", who also wasnt a true part of your team. Never really felt that connected to it, except it was a necessary tool for me to get around. Nothing like my sciscor.. With your team being so easy to change up atm, having the ability to access your box on the go, its never been easier to "bring the right Pokemon for the right challenge"! I want my team to be part of the world, and it would be a natural and awesome way of encouraging players to use more different Pokemon! Need to go on the water? Get your lapras from the box and jump on its back. Need to cross a large desert? Bring your arcenine to ride on, or just fly over it on your Pidgeot... Smashing or moving rocks with a fighting or ground type, make berries grow with a grass and water combo, starting campfires with your fire starter... They could even make events like "bring your Ghost type to a haunted house" or "help fix a broken power plant with your electric type" for a special encounter. Or simply participate in a local race on your rideable Pokemon earning the Pokemon a ribbon or price for finishing in first. I think it is the recepie for making a truly living open world Pokemon game feel right. When you see the anime, this is exactly what they are doing, and its what got a lot of young kids hooked, me included back in the 90s.
Exp Share doesn't need to be have an option to turn off. People can just box pokemon to avoid overleveling it. Players can make the game challenging for themselves. No voice acting thanks. Game Freak doesn't need to waste resources and money on a useless thing like voice acting.

The generations since gen 7 have really lacked proper villains to drive a good story. Too much emphasis was placed on additional gimmicks since gen 7. Mega Evolution on it's own was sufficient. The removal of HMs has also made gameplay a little bit too easy.
At moment I’m playing Arceus again. Yesterday I thought I could continue with violet. I‘ve played 30 mins and then returned zu Arceus cause it’s simply the better Pokémon game.
I may be the only one but i personally want you to have to have a water Pokémon in your PARTY to surf, flying type to actually fly, grass to cut. That way you have you have different types in your team to explore. Also want ti get rid of being able yo access your boxes without a poke centre
I think getting rid of accessing your box without a poke center is dumb. Think about it for a sec. The reason for going to the pc was to drop or withdraw pokemons. Ack then there was no such thing as smart phones. Now in scarlet and violet (havnt played arceus yet) you have a smart phone. So being able to access your box from the phone makes alot of sense since you have access to the internet and stuff.
none of those is going to happen. Pokemon games have always been directed more to the young fans. Older fans can play the games but they are not the target audience.
Having primarily played older Pokemon games, and only seen gameplays of Scarlet/Violet, I can't bring myself to like them. With the non-existent, or limited 3D graphics used in the older games, we are given great room to imagine the colours, shapes, lights and moods of the game world we explore. With 3D games, you are given a more complete picture as to how the world you play in looks like. I don't mind the latter option, however if that is what they want to go with, it better be damn good, which it absolutely is not. To me, it looks like a terribly unpolished, low-effort game that lacks a glow so to say, and looks nothing like how I imagined the vibrant regions of the Pokemon world to be. I hope upcoming generations will succeed in remedying this problem...
if there not going to give me gen 1, 2, and 3 + WoW = new pokemon game...im good with playing the old games. fck it, full retcon! start over with red, green blue, and yellow on the switch 2! 🤣😂
The biggest miss for me in gen 9 is level scaling
Without scale, it's like not playing an open world.

People literally complained about the cinematic animation of Z-Moves in Gen 7 as they slow down the battle
I'm couldn't play scarlett or violet. The games are so choppy. You get like 20fps

sounds like game freak should of invested in 3d realworld games a long time ago so they dont seem so outdated
That thumbnail pic on the right is actually close to the change of style that will be incorporated into the new games
