Now none of this is of course confirmed but if Gen 10 is indeed waves and wind and based on an Archipelago, there's a real possibility that it could be based on Okinawa. Especially if the idea is to revisit a Japanese region. Considering it's both the 30th anniversary of the games and the 20th year since we last had a region based on Japan.

All i want, Is a modern day Kanto, with the core series mechanics, and the original red/leaf. I Love fire red/ Leaf green. Yet as we get further and further away from GBA. With the closure of the DS store. it is becoming impossible to play Fire Red/ Leaf green without piracy/buying old hardware from sketchy people. I want experience Fire Red/Leaf Green as it was in the time, with the physical/special split, new movesets, new pokemon, etc.

About the location that gen 10 will be based, i think it'll could be the south-east asia part of asia just because of the tropical and the many island there. I mean kommo-o (the gen 7 psuedo legendary) kinda looks like the national animal in indonesia or komodo. Maybe tropical-based location would work for gen 10 (or 11) and bring back the old tropical-like mons from older gens But the greece theory is looking strong tho

Conspiracy: Game Freak got screwed over by fams with gen 5 and refuse to give us the argueable best generation because fans at the time gad issues with the games formula focusing on the things that it did, bw bw2 are the second to last game in the series sales wise.

Personally, I think China would be way cool. Huge modern cities along with vast landscapes and ancient temples. So much potential, and I think the Pokemon could be very cool.

Not that I expect it to be the next gen, but I want to go back to the states. There's just a lot of biodiversity within the US-- heck, not to meme but... Ohio alone gets the hurricane winds from the east coast, the cold from being right across from Canada, yet the lower end that touches the Ohio river can get to some impressively high temperatures. There's farm land, woods, many man-made beaches as well as Lake Erie, and there are swamps. Ohio's cryptids feel very inline with Pokemon, as well. We also are able to grow a lot of Japanese plants, and have ties to Japan economically. [Not to mention apparently sharing sister cities.] Ohio also has a past connection to Hollywood, as Warner Brother's had their start here. Point being... the US isn't tapped out yet if even Ohio could reasonably inspire a region.

I really like the idea of making an super powered RNG for running random encounters and events happening in the world, nothing big but that could make every gameplay a bit different and maybe even creating mysteries. I do hope tho they never dip into using generative AI for content, a good world and its world building has to be made by humans (and ethically), something that has to be really thought out to fit properly and add to the world in a meaningful way. Also agree in the voice acting, the lack of it just make these deep cinematic scenes feel kinda strange for me personally. A toggable option for it would be nice tho

No to voice acting. It'll ruin Pokemon. Not to mention increase the cost to Game Freak

I just hope for the 10th gen Game Freak puts it standards on a higher level and produce an actually good game that works at least without technical issues

Am I the only one who REALLY does NOT want voice acting? I hate the voice acting in a lot of videogames. I enjoy the immersion of imagining my own voices for classic unvoiced games like N64 Zelda and Pokemon.

We are never going to see voice acting in the mainline games and here is why Its way to expensive for Gamefreak to hire the VA for a project, especially since the VA needs to line up with the anime voices, else the target audience (Children), are gonna be confused. Another problem is that we need the ability to toggle it off, else the games lose their replayability value (And they can look at data to see if people turn it off and if so... if the majority turns it off, then it won't be a thing in the next installment anymore either, for their reasoning being - why would be implement it, if the majority turns it off anyways). Its also the reason why we are getting mandatory XP all now, without the ability to turn it off, because data has shown them, while they ability to turn it off was there, people left it on anyways. Another thing is that most characters are one-offs, which include Gym Leaders and Elite 4 members or have only around 5 lines of dialogue anyways, which means it ain't even word it to do Voice Acting for that character anyways and they aren't gonna have in-battle Voice Acting either (Again, usually only 1 or 2 lines and it uneccesarly drags the battle on longer than its supposed to be). The only Voice Acting we can get, is during Cutscenes... but thats the problematic thing as well, since SM/USUM gave us so many cutscenes and people complained about it and we can notice a signifciant decrease in Cutscenes as well as a result. The other thing is the target audience being children and they simply don't care about the story (I know i didn't when i was a kid... i just wanted to catch the creatures and battle with thim). They wouldn't care about Voice Acting in a Pokemon Game at all (Because they simply want to play the game, not sit through dialogue, especially kids nowadays don't have that attentionspan anymore). Another problem with Voice Acting is that the Pokemon games get modded heavily so Poketubers and others can do Nuzlockes... Modding a game for a Randomizer Nuzlocke is virtually impossible with Voice Acting in the game, unless you can toggle it off (But then comes the data problem into effect i talked about recently). With games like GTA or RDR, Voice Acting is crucial for the gameplay experience... for Pokemon, it doesn't enhance the gameplay in any way (Thats also a thing we need to take into account).

I also think if they do a voice acting for the first time, then they should not use AI. They should be as authentic as possible, cause it brings up the question of “whose voice is the AI voice going to be trained on?”. It’s still very easy to tell if an audio is AI generated. Something uncanny about the way it hits your ears. It’s still voice “acting” a human will always give a better performance and cleaner range of emotions and tones

AI will make quality drops everywhere. Unless developing studios strictly allow it for assisting with small task productivity. We are already seeing drops in quality in the movies industry and unfortunately it’s starting to be the norm. Generate more with less cost..

Someone released a dark comedy game inspired by Pokemon. Its called D.A.M. Champion.

For me, pokemon needs to add mechanisms from games like Fantasy life and Animal crossing in a way it matches the exploration theme ( like farming things and crafting your own items, like having a pocket pokeball machine that you can craft balls by using apricorns and others, etc...), so it can be attractive to both children and young adults ( not about art style, but gaming style).

Gen 2 is not getting another remake. It had HGSS and it wasn't a good remake. Unova wasn't getting a remake in gen 9 and on the Switch. Riddler Khu is no longer a leaker the moment he was incorrect about a 2024 game. It makes no sense to show ZA game play on the next console. Legends Z-A won't be out until November. Legends Arceus was pretty terrible and ZA is going to be worse due to megas. No AI thanks because that is garbage. Keep voice acting out as it is trash.

Whether it’s bc of lore reasoning or not there’s no excuse as to why BDSP were such bad remakes that didn’t have a lot of the quality life improvements that platinum and the other games had. It was literally just them being lazy

Full blown voice acting? Probably a bit too soon to go that deep... but a few important scenes with voice acting would be pretty great. Maybe a few grunts or small lines in-between may be good as well.

I love this video!! Fully agreed with the points mentioned... AI and Voice acting in NPC dialogues would be so cool to see, I'm not sure if they can quite yet implement AI powered battle systems, and yesss the element of mystery is such a big part of the games!! I hope GameFreak has been cooking something amazing for us, and I'd love to see Z-A being a beginning to something amazing! Hopefully they spend enough time polishing and putting finishing touches though XD

So, if Gen 10 is gonna be an island setting, does that mean we're finally getting a game that takes place in the Orange Islands? I understand the Orange Archipelago was just a filler arc of the anime, but from what I recall it was a pretty large region all in itself and never received a proper conclusion.

The people to do remakes need to be replaced the old games like gen ll should add at least 110 from gen 3-9 to make it interesting because the same pokedex is lackluster
