      I am also a side sleeper, so I put a silicone face mask on top of it. I use a mask that is intended for wearing with a single use face mask to keep it on your face. I am thinking about trying those silicone face patches intended for wrinkles. The paste is quite sticky so I think they could work well. I should note that I do this in an extremely dry climate with very dry skin and adding a physical barrier hasn't seem to cause any problems for me, if anything it helped a bit more. Not sure how other climates or skin types might affect the process though.

      Retin A. It's been fantastic for me! I'm 45 and people keep thinking I'm in my 30s. And I smoke. So Retin A is our friend! I also use hyaluronic acid and niacinimide. And the facial moisturizer ALL by the ordinary and for all 4 under if I recall $25

I watch all of your videos and would love to try so many products you recommend, but SO many cosmetic/skin care products have formaldehyde, formaldehyde releasing agents, and fragrance, so it's EXTREMELY difficult to know which products are safe to use! There are SO MANY products on the market, which causes extreme confusion, but I still want to take care of my skin the best way possible, especially since I now have mature skin! If you could help, I would love you forever❣️😂 Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️

    I don’t think the sink soaked it in, but more like the pillow absorbed it. I tried the face blast last night and my face is still as white as last night when I put it on. I have a beauty pillow that has a whole on the side so when you sleep on your sides it doesn’t rub on the cheeks. Hence, no product was absorbed by the pillow and is still on my face.

    Would love to hear about sensitive, combination skin from you! I am with my “sacred time” at the moment but I’ve been hinted at having an oily scalp and dry mid to ends hair (combination). And I decided to skin test by using micellar water to remove my makeup (light full-concealers’ coverages & eyebrow gel to lip balm), and slept as is. Analyzed my skin in the morning. I definitely notice shine on my nose, sides of nose, light oil to then slightly more oil on the forehead T-zone, and chin (but dry on the sides of), cheeks feel Tight but also have shine near the nose and/or smile line area (while mouth area is dry). 😂❤ I always knew I had active sebaceous glands (I have sebaceous filaments too) per than norm.’ ❤ Though, I was always categoriziny myself as dry skin type to sensitive - Sensitive and dry skin type (always). I thought I never really had issues with oil but I do notice (also! Eyelids are definitely always oily & my waterline smears most eyeliners so I double or triple line 😂❤ & use translucent setting powder underneath anyway for concealer- yet my undereye is always dry). - I never even knew my scalp type but I always felt my bangs would separate 🥹🥲 thankfully a new employee came in (and told me how I have an oily scalp - I thought it was my pomade but it’s likely more noticeable on my cycle 😂😅 & dryer portions in the rest of hair which is very true meaning my hair is combination and I used to debate if my skin type was too so it is a bit of analyzing for myself with my skin but I’ve learnt with cosmetologists thankfully about my hair type yesterday: I realized today: With the skin test that I may have sensitive and combination instead of just sensitive and dry 😮‍💨 A esthetician told me once before that it seems dehydrated but I’m always drinking water with neutral pH lvls 😂❤ it may be genetics & I’m just now finding out about my combinations ❤️❤️ my hair’s gorgeous and my skin’s gotten significantly better with retinoid but it is definitely tight at the moment during this skin test 😂 I’m genuinely surprised* Would appreciate any understanding on this! 🥲 I dealt with mild comedonal acne that’s thankfully gone away with retinoid & I swear by Eucerin original healing lotion as my daily moisturizer because it does not affect my pores whatsoever but even then: I still feel I need to include a hydrating serum & a toner or more moisture because my makeup patches and/or separates ❤️ ‘Love it 😂 it’s complex though) ~ continued ~ & my main stylist also greatly knows my hair type (and how to work with it). So, definitely interesting learning more about ourselves. 😂😂 I never knew. Am Dominican🇩🇴, so it definitely makes sense to be a combination skin type, as I’m also reactively very sensitive in skin type. It’s a lot going on. I prefer a dewy turkey bastering 😂 skincare prep before makeup when I can but I’ve noticed silicone primer (to silicone foundation & again silicone heat protectant does me good) + silicone brushes & a regular fluffy brush help with blending… Along with, light powder (on said brush after blending or powder puff).
    ❤❤ Layering for eyeliner and setting powder underneath it (silicone primer is what helps with gliding). Yet I’m still learning what’s the best turkey bastering’ 😂 as the actual skincare prep. And, overall, now how to even treat this skin typing in general! It’s interesting. ❤️🫠 Thank you, if anything. 😂❤️✨ Much love.

      Sensitive (redness & very reactive: aware 😂), combination, and condition’s the excess dehy’ dryness. ❤️🫠😂 Surprisingly, very informative. From what I know, I just treat my body as if it’s needing moisturizer (Eucerin products are my holy grails). And I still like for more, to prevent dry patches or separating during the occasional makeup (may be from different product types: such as silicone primer/ Love Mac’s Skin Base Visage Primer| (next: not a fan so much but I use it from time to time for UV on the rest of my face on top of the Eucerin full coverage moisturizer: it’s so much better for my skin type: minus eye area for the LRP: water allergenic fest 👁️) with La Roche Posay Double Repair Moisturizer UV and translucent setting powder? Or ? Unknown reasons - but it’s some interesting sensation: it’s like dry patches separate🧐? I have no idea).
      *Added notes of the actual products a bit too.

    Basting for cystic acne prone skin (about to end accutane) recommended? in hot climate

    • @WaterspoutsOfTheDeep
      @WaterspoutsOfTheDeep 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      it's great for clearing pores if you use a decent strength salicylic acid then a vaseline type product to seal over it just if you are home alone during the day. Even better on exfoliated skin with a salicylic toner then a hydrogel patch over whole face and leave on 24 hours then everything comes out and what doesn't is very loose in pores takes zero effort to gently push out. I don't know how anyone could be comfortable going to sleep with the basting on. I don't know how these creams would work for acne prone skin. And best thing possible for removing cystic acne or a deep pimple that is taking forever to surface is dabbing on 90-100% DMSO on the cleaned spot, several times a day and usually in 24 hours it surfaces if not just keep going and don't try and release it right when you can wait till it comes out on it's own with very little pressure otherwise the skin will heal while stuff is still under the surface you want it all drawn up to the surface and removed. Less % DMSO with water will heat up, use on dry skin it heats in contact with water. There are arthritis creams with DMSO they might work as a spot treatment too never tried. DMSO is million times better than a sulfur spot treatment with is on it's on better than most anything else. DMSO is actually a sulfur compound itself.
