I've only just hit play but something that really stood out for me is that Riker doesn't seem to know how to pat dogs 😆 He just smacks it on the nose or the head.
I am almost certain that gold metal thing w/blue plastic stones on it is the silly metal wrap around head thing from a bit character in The Most Toys having plastic stones glued to it.
You'd think that a world where people get brought back from death all the time, would have strict rules about privacy rights for the deceased. It could be a fun episode premise if a guy dies, and the crew decides to read his diary and go through his personal stuff. Then he comes back to life again through some plot device and he's really pissed off that his coworkers didnt respect his privacy.
The track near the end is the cover of Bestiality by Ennio Morricone, originally written as an OST for The Thing, but never used,.... at least not for The Thing. All, behold me useless knole'ge
I would of thought Beverly would of been abit more freaked out with the sight of a hand - her own hand no less, reaching out and touching her from the goo. She barely reacted
I vaguely remember this episode. And I've watched the entire series several times. They didn't show it on re-runs very much either. ....I guess it's easily forgettable. Great review as always.
Maybe I said this last time. Maybe the crew never recommend Trois empathic abilities because they finally realize what you’ve known all along. Her abilities are useless. 😂
The plot was an uncomfortable, unnecessary mash up of The Thing, and the 1944 movie classic "Laura", where a detective is investigating the murder of a woman, falls in love with her portrait, only to have her turn up alive. There isn't an imaginative moment in the whole episode. Very poor.
You would think at this point that they would do full medical scans on any being that they come in contact with to make sure that it's not an alien or a clone or something.
@Reverse Angle Do you guy have a ranked episode list somewhere. I like your breakdown and takes on the episodes and wanted to see your highest and lowest rated so far. Thanks
Great comments on the episode and characters. All spot on. I gave it a D+ before your grading. Ariel's character/actress seemed like a good one, very likable. It would have been nice to see her around again. The plot was a weak one, and as you said the formula of romancing the Geordi doesn't seem to work. The bedroom scene was truly an awkward one. Still Geordi, for me, is a likable character...I guess romance is just not in the cards. Poor engineers, we really do get a bad rap, romantically.
I don't think anyone's ever addressed this, but you're right. It would go a long way to explaining the different destructive effects at same/similar power and vastly different firing durations. If we have smart sensing microwaves that avoid overcooking things. I think by the 24th century a beam weapon, in space no less, is designed to only damage its target and not blow a hole through the hull or something
Not the most interesting story in the series. The dog made it bearable and watchable. Aquiel didn't even need to be in this episode and the dog would have still made it interesting. The only reason for watching this review is listening to those two funny and goofy narrators
"jordi, no more hanging out with riker. he's a bad influence..."
Our resident starfleet creep back at it again.

He evolved from using his shoe

It is.
Yup .. the guest who came to see Data .. I think part of it was in his nostril lol

Please review ST: voyager next. Great job!

Great review as always.
Such a forgettable episode
Worf is using a medical tricorder at 2:30. Seems only med staff ever usually use those.
Maybe I said this last time. Maybe the crew never recommend Trois empathic abilities because they finally realize what you’ve known all along. Her abilities are useless. 😂
I've seen this episode 3-4 times through re-watches and this is the first time I've ever understood the plot.
You've seen this piece of shit 4 times? I'm so sorry. Hugs TNG fried!
Jordi must be a weird stalking creep it is a universal constant
Newton's undiscovered 4th Law of Physics 🤣

They suck so hard at doing reasonable scans with all the damn scanners they have.
As soon as a saw the dog and stain on the floor i thought of the thing
10:35 The stupid thing on the alien's head in your favorite episode "The Most Toys".
3:55 😂 absolute savage
Kablam *was* really great. Glad you guys have good taste
That cover of Ennio Morricone’s “bestiality” at the end is really great. Good job!!
We see her again.
What episode?
@@1down4upworkshop61 her and Beverly save the ship in a girl powered episode.
Oh no the plasm wraith, its going to abduct captain picard
Kablam was such a great show

that was in the
TNG episode
THE MOST TOYS

"So, Doctor, do you need that hand?" x.x
Nice to know spaghetti sauce has other uses.
Aquiel is the very first episode of TNG I have ever seen. And I watched the rest of the series anyway
You could've done worse. You could've started with "The Naked Now"
@@GrimDarkNarrator that one was maybe the 5th that I watched
I never realized how campy these episodes are until I watched your Reverse Angle reviews!
Oh, it's 90s af ... That. One. Lightning. Effect.
This is one of these episodes you start watching but end up doing something else. Just not interesting. Agree with NIck's D-.
@Reverse Angle Do you guy have a ranked episode list somewhere. I like your breakdown and takes on the episodes and wanted to see your highest and lowest rated so far. Thanks
I like this episode. It's "The Thing Meets Laura." Geordi's relationship with Aquiel is nowhere as weird as his relationship with Dr. Brahms.
Great comments on the episode and characters. All spot on. I gave it a D+ before your grading.

Oh wow. I just cannot wait until you guys get to the “Beverly smashes a space ghost” episode! Can you just fast forward to THAT please? LOL
Angry Beavers was dope.
To me, this was one of the worst episodes they ever made. I agree with the D -
100%. It's not THE worst, but it's total dogshit.
ISNT IT COOL HOw the phaser knows exactly where to stop destroying things?

You guys are HILARIOUS 😂
My favorite Worf line is on this episode and its for some reason not a popular one because i cant ever find a clip😂😂😂😂
"....or are you a dolshevos?"
The biggest shame about this awful episode is that good lighting and direction are wasted on it.
OMG... this was HILARIOUS.
One of the worst TNG episodes ever not from season 1 or 2.
The number of sandwich runners is increasing exponentially. SPOILER! Sandwich runners are actually a tribe of tribbles.
Tribbles: Always so much trouble.
Not the most interesting story in the series. The dog made it bearable and watchable. Aquiel didn't even need to be in this episode and the dog would have still made it interesting. The only reason for watching this review is listening to those two funny and goofy narrators
couldn't they have made
her character human ?
the actress is pretty
and didn't need the
alien makeup
I despise this episode of TNG so much I almost downvoted this review, but I didn't, I didn't.

Even if Geordi’s love interest is an alien, she’s still gotta be black. Typical 90’s tv.
Bullshit ... This is the first time -- and she's hot af ... To wit: Christy Henshaw, Leah Brahms ...
❤️ 😅 👍
This is the dumbest episode. Definitely one to skip if you are rewatching TNG.
I mean not the dumbest ... all those Troi episodes, the children-centric episodes, Sub Rosa ...
69th!!😍
Guys, why are you making fun of PTSD?
