Not only paints and washes but many weathering techniques used by military modelers work well in the model railroading hobby. The dot-fade technique using artist oils has become my go to for rolling stock and locomotives. In regard to names for your figures, every American railroad needs at least one “Hank” on the employee roster. 😉
Answer: Just in case you eat a burger/cheese on toast etc etc while operating. When I was in Worcester MA in 1991 we (4 of us, 2 Brits plus 2 ex brits plus one resident of MA), pronounced it Wooster. My work colleague who lives in Worcestershire UK, pronounces it Worster.
too funny about the "War-Chester-Shire sauce"...still get tongue tied with it...."Wooster" is much easier".....tho i loved english literature i passed only with a C- 😂. The figures are a great addition to your motive power and scenery. The painting and weathering looks highly natural with a bit of dirt and grime thats associated with working on a RR....good job m8!
Conrail Guy looks like a Earl and Jeff driving, 1545 Darel and eddy driven, 2721 Carl and Khan is driving, 261 Albert and Jonesy driving, 4005 Carmine and Schmitty is driving
The Conrail conductor should definitely be named Andy!
Sold to my good friend in Pittsburgh 👍

I think the NY&A crew is AJ in the cab and Jonathan (CNJ Newark Branch in Brooklyn) is the conductor.

Worcester MA is pronounced 'Wooster' by the people that love there, Dave Blazejewski on Flickr mentioned it in on of his captions.
Cheers mate. That is just how we say it over here 👍
