I kind of wish it wasn't. It sounded great at first but now it sounds generic because of how many times I've heard it lol. Still a great song but I heard it too much.
@@pillowcaseee I get slight song burnout sometimes but after I go, like, a month or so without listening to it, my brain decides it sounds just as good as it did the first ever time I heard it. Though some songs I can listen on a loop for hours workout burnout and most of them are Toby’s songs.

If you ever listen to more boss tracks from deltarune, it would be a good idea to make sure that “THE WORLD REVOLVING” “NOW’S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A” and “BIG SHOT” are in the same video if they all get requested.
‘Now’s your chance to be a’ can kind of be considered a prequel of sorts to ‘Big shot’. They’re kinda supposed to be two halves of one whole. Which is why the names of the songs are connected to form the phrase “Now’s your chance to be a big shot”. The first song kinda builds up the context for what the second one is supposed to be.
And that second one, BIG SHOT, is heavily related to The world revolving. Because The World Revolving establishes a few leitmotifs in chapter 1 that ‘Big Shot’ builds off of in chapter 2, since those two songs are thematically connected.

Then, imagine the desparation of the hero to make one last push, to make sure that the evil that would destroy the entire world does not prevail, even if it costs the hero their own life.
Then, imagine, knowing that all is lost, and that the evil will succeed.
Now imagine... They are the hero. YOU are the evil.
That's what the game is about at this point.

Every time you die you receive words of encouragement to keep moving and it’s subtly revealed - through this melody in the music and his dialogue sound - that those words came from Asgore the whole time.

Dont know if you noticed, but the tune of spider dance matches up perfectly with both “Spider Dance” and “Clap your Hands”
A good batch of Undertale/Deltarune boss themes to listen to all together is "Dummy!", "THE WORLD REVOLVING", "NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A", and "BIG SHOT" (in that order) as they all share leitmotifs, despite Dummy! being from Undertale and the other songs being from Deltarune (since Deltarune is Undertale's "sister game").
Spider Dance would be on this list too, but you just heard it, lol

Absolutely love the takes you have in this video! I also really appreciate you reacting to a remix as well ( I originally loved it but as I grew up and learned more about music, it slowly seemed more and more like noise to me. I still enjoy it though ) As for a song request, I highly recommend " Chaos King " from chapter 1 of Deltarune. It's not the most popular but I absolutely love it and it holds a special place in my heart

Oh hell yeah! I'm a bit late to the party but I agree with the guy above me. Camellia is insane in the very best way.
I get why Megalovania is so popular, and I get that people think that it's faster, more agressive sound makes it more suitable as 'final boss music,' but honestly Asgore's Theme has so much emotion in it and the fact that it contains Toriel's Heartbreak and Determination and one of Undyne's leitmotifs makes it a great bookend. You should definitely listen to the Hopes And Dreams songs (they come in quick succession during the final fight). Also, you should watch a video called "All the Undertale leitmotifs. All of them" by Circlejourney, either on or off camera to get a proper scope of Toby's genius.

I agree, Asgore theme is more memorable for me, and to be honest, after playing Undertale, I'd say that I'm a bit disappointed about Toriel's action, while I understand her choice after what happenend, Instill think she had an egoistic reaction

In this video my favourite is rude buster. But I'm really down to watch your reaction to other Toby Fox's bangers. Don't stop on that. I would recommend Another medium, Scarlet forest, My castle town, Hopes and dreams, FIELD of hopes and dreams, A cyber's world, Waterfall, Spear of justice and "An ending" from undertale. These are all masterpieces!

10:54 that is actually a 4 beat variation of another boss theme, heart ache which is in the start of the game and is 3 beat, like a waltz. And Asgore is practicaly the last boss in the game, and Torial (first boss) are actually ex husband and wife.
Someone else brought up that the staccato is actually variations on the sound that plays when the character this song is connected with is talking, so it is actually lyrics, sung by the character.
Reminder that Deltarune is completely free amd very easy to install and is about 3 hours if you go for everything
3 hours?! For everything? Absolutely zero chance. The actual world record speedrun for fastest time beating the two chapters is an hour.
And that’s WITH skipping every single optional thing, avoiding or skipping half of the fights in the game, not reading any of the dialogue, AND using glitches to skip whole parts of the game.

Real question: Do I need to play through Undertale first? I was a huge fan of the game a long while ago but I never actually got around to playing it. I’m basically unspoiled on Deltarune, and know just abt everything with undertale, so should I just jump into deltarune first?

@@SgtSushi-YEHW you don't NEED to, but since it is an alternate universe there are a lot of characters and references that if you haven't played undertale you won't think about it, but if you HAVE played it, it will give you a lot of smiles and "oh shit" moments

It is worth mentioning that to lengthen the song, in the part where a boy is singing, camellia used the song "dont forget" which is a song that is also from deltarune from chapter 1, as a curious fact who sings in the original song dont forget is laura shigihara, the creator of the whole OST of plants vs zombies 1
The OST of deltarune is quite good, I recommend you to listen to "Field of hopes and dreams", "Now's your chance to be", "Big shot", "chaos king", "pandora palace" and I also recommend you other songs from undertale like "Hopes and dreams", "waterfall", "home" and finally "your best nightmare"

I would honestly adore watching you play either of the games (Deltarune has only 2 of 7 chapters out so far but are already as long as Undertale was) that way you can experience the ENTIRE soundtrack as well as finally getting context for the songs you've already heard in this vids. And for the record, you do not need to have played UT to understand DR. Great video and definitely subscribed!
Although it is already as long as undertale, undertale has a lot of replay ability so it would still take more to 100% undertale compared to delta rune (ch3 and 4 will probably change that)

Hay just letting you know the song "pandora palace" from deltarune is piano heven 😍
people tend to refer to the trumpet-like synths that kick in around 16:19 as ZUNpets, named after ZUN, solo creator of the _Touhou Project_ series of video games, whose music is one of the biggest influences on Toby Fox's music. _Battle Against a True Hero_ in particular is very Touhou-like.

I do find it sad how common committing the cardinal sin of removing or diminishing the parts of a song that made it good in the first place is in remixes and covers. It shows the artist got too excited to crowd in their own ideas to stay true to the original. Restraint is just as important as passion. An artist needs both to make something truly great. (I should know, I'm terrible at managing both!)
Anyway, reacting to more tracks from Undertale an Deltarune would be great. Toby Fox has also now contributed tracks to mainstream released video games as well. Should be easy to look those up if you'd like some broader context on what he's done musically.
I 100% agree, whenever a remix gets a little too wild my brain kinda starts to lose interest, lol. Because it's barely even the song anymore, you started doing your own thing
Yeah... Camilla in general isn't really the greatest example of remixes or fan content in this community in general (for multiple reasons really) but fortunately there are a ton of great rude buster mixes out there that elevate the core parts of the track instead of walking all over them. Honestly, as someone who's been around the UT/DR fandom for a really long time, I tend to just flat out avoid fan content that's trying too hard to centralize itself over canon. There's actually some decent counterexamples of this too in UT/DR fan stuff that's very respectful towards avoiding walking over or just copy/pasting canon directly, but that's honestly more just a testament to how many there are out there total. As an additional longtime pokemon person who really loved SV despite all the controversy that happened with them, Toby's work on those games is absolutely phenomenal and makes a huge impact on the sections he composed in. Area Zero is just so well executed story-wise, and the music just elevates that even further. Plus, the Ace Academy Tournament track really showed his range as a composer IMO.
Toby fox let a fan design a boss for the game and that ended up being muffet, the spider girl that the song “spider dance” plays for.
It was a payment tier on Kickstarter. I forgot how much money.

I love your reaction and comments about the music. Toby Fox has so many amazing pieces. If your open to suggestions on some music to listen to, I would highly recommend music from the Dark Souls series, Bloodborn, and Elden Ring. The boss music in these games is awe inspiring, megestic, and very dark and twisted at times. I would love to see your reactions to some of these pieces.

Reminder that for the first Undertale game Toby Fox made all the music himself and with no formal training. Only self-taught.
Asgore, the kind king. Forced to kill you to set his people free. He dose not want to kill you, but he will take on this sin for his people, as he has done 6 times before.
You may also want to check out his music influences like Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts), Shogo Sakai (Mother 3), ZUN (Touhou Project), and Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy)
That's a nice selection. Toby Fox has done a great job with his games and soundtracks. I also love your analysis. I get to realize elements I didn't know were in there.
As for that remix of Rudebuster, too loud for my taste. Although, I do like the part where he goes into other Deltarune tracks, while singing the ending song of Chapter 1. I just wish it wasn't so loud in the majority of the track.
Other tracks that I like are Waterfall from Undertale and Field of Hopes and Dreams from Deltarune. The other boss themes, such as World Revolving and Big Shot, I also think are interesting. So, those are my recommendations.
Seeing how a couple people have been mentioning ZUN's Touhou Project, I'm going to be another to do so. It is clear that Toby Fox does draw inspiration from him, especially in Undertale's Battle Against a True Hero. Seeing how some have suggested ZUN's music, I will go further and list off some tracks to make searching easier.
Eternal Shrine Maiden: Comes from the first game in the 90's.
Idolatrize World: Long title, so I shorten to two words. Stage 6 boss theme from the 17th game. Really shows how far ZUN has come.
Idora Deusu -The Creator-: A remix or arrangement of Idolatrize World. Just to give a taste of what the ZUN's fanbase can do.
Sunken Fossil World's title theme: From one of the side games, and an immediate sequel to the 17th game.
Misted Amnesia: Another song from the fanbase. However, this is one of the few songs that is an original. Used in a fan game that blends Touhou Project and Castlevania.

For anyone who likes metal and undertale/Game music in general, I highly recommend also checking out Falkkone, as he has a lot of Symphonic Metal covers of a lot of gaming music besides undertale aswell, but my personal favorites of his are Battle Against A True Hero, Asgore, Song of Storms, and Silver and Monsters. He has alot of other bangers but those I think are a good entry.

For Attack of the Killer Queen, the first part is the theme of the boss (Queen). Starting at 29:09 is a different character's motif. Queen has captured him and is using his power against you.

Dude you are still missing a few from undertale if you feel like checking em out! Undertale normal battle theme and ghost boss battle theme are both very interesting and I recommend listening to them if you didn't yet. Also Attack of the killer Queen had me react jsut the same. It totally feels like a theme from castlevania! I love it!

Well now if you ever react to either Big Shot or The World Revolving you have to include the Camellia remixes of these pieces. Especially if you love jazzy bits (Big Shot) or piano solos (The World Revolving). In my opinion Rude Buster is the weakest Camellia's Toby Fox remix, I almost agree with your opinion on the song

I agree that the camilla remix was far too busy in most parts. The parts that were calmer were great, though.
As far as I know, the character designs and enemies were created by Toby Fox, and the actual graphics for the game were created by Temmie Chang

I freaked out the moment you mentioned camellia, as he is such an unknown artist. Whilst yeah this remix is overstimulating, that is the main point of it. The genre's called speedcore. But seriously, thank you for even reacting to his remix at all. I hope you check out his other stuff in the future.

The one major thing that Toby doesn’t do is the art. He does the base character design, but Temmie did most of the actual pixel art for the sprites. With Deltarune, he has a much bigger team with him instead of just himself and Temmie.
