Came for the amp build, stayed for the amazing improvising. You play better than anything I've heard typing in "blues guitar improvisation". Not to mention the rad tones you got out of this amp..!
Great tone and great playing! I am planning on building my own 5e3 deluxe clone and this "demo" made me want to build it even more! Going to have to build a 808 and a reverb pedal too, but that's alright... ;)
Awesome tone! I've built 2 amps so far; a Lite2b and a Superlite TMB. I'm strongly considering a 5E3 for my next build, but I'm also considering a half-power mod and an AlNiCo speaker for upgrades. I play mostly at home and I appreciate the reduced volume (too many years of loud concerts and Harleys) and I really love the tone of a good AlNiCo speaker.
Sounds good New speaker ?? Usually need 20 hours to start breaking in I just ordered a Fender style 2/12 empty can Brown/tan to house a couple 73 Vox/Oxford Alnico's Should be ready soon Great playing man
I got "forced" to play thru one at a blues jam a couple weeks ago and it knocked me over!!! There are a million great sounds from clean to crunch in there. This circuit was way ahead of its time. I am on the prowl to find one now. And yes roll back the str and it cleans up nice
@@evanpappas3449 I've got two old alnico gold Oxford 12's that Vox used to use in their early 70's combos to save shipping costs Vox Viscount it was SS crap So glad I saved the speaker's Cab coming from Mojo Tone soon
Seeing as it has 4 inputs like a Marshall have you ever thought of diming it? I'm curious to see how that would sound given how different of a beast the Tweed amps are to a stack.
most of my parts came from mojotone in the small parts kit, weber speaker, classic tone transformers, and fit caps. the stuff in the mojo parts kits are top of the line except they usually cheap out somewhere, in this case it was the main caps which I replaced.
+Charles Seper There is obviously a reverb pedal on this amp, sir, given that Tweed Deluxes do not have a verb tank. Snobbery is no substitute for having ears.
@Charlie - we don´t need this kind of tone here! We are here because w all share the same interest, no need to ruin a serious conversation. You started it, and you were proved wrong - and then suddenly it is a bad build. Kick your dog or your wife or whom ever, but keep your frustrations at home.

Marco Mayer I agree!
Outstanding tone and playing. It's a done deal, I am getting the kit. Hey Mojotone, hire this guy!
Very groovy. Soulfully driven tones. Cheers!

That sounds so, so good.
How loud is it to get this type of gain? And can you roll back to clean up for rhythm?

Amazing tones. I have to know Are these all pure straight guitar to amp tones or are you using an OD or boost pedal?

What pedals are used?
+Charles Seper
No, it's not a joke. It has reverb. Maybe something else?
Anyway, sound and playing is great!

1966 fender reverb unit and a ts808
