I also grew up in beech drive in the 60, 70, and 80s I lived in number 5 and new brian and Mrs Johnson well, my dog sooty and his dog called boot, where always fighting on a daily basis and brian and my family had to trying separate them each and every day. Mrs Johnson made my sisters bride dresses for her wedding in 1973, and when brian went on tour with his group geordie he would always post me memberbelya. I also thank gazza for sending my son flowers when he was very ill in hospital.

Love this fellah down to earth- dead canny lol , I lived in Dunston as a kid knew a few people in Beech Drive , the houstons (Clare) , David walker , Kevin Wilson (much later ) I played in Beech drive but never met or knew Brian Johnson or his family personally (he was a few years older than me ), funny how little old dunston turned out Gazza and Brian Johnson from such a small place that some people call a dump . It was great when I was a kid not brilliant but a decent enough place with in my mind great people that I've never forgotten and i am retired now . (early ) because I made a few quid and got on in life .Dunston will always be a special place in my memory whatever state it is in now .

I grew up on Beech Drive at 139, Brian's parents lived at number 1. His mother was a little bespectacled Italian lady. She was very kind and always very smartly dressed.
