It’s not only Ford. Why don’t any manufacturers sell camper vans like this in the US market? There has to be a reason. It can’t possibly be lack of demand. These would sell like crazy here!
It’s because they make good money on the chassis, engine, and transmission with very little liability and don’t want to lose that business by competing against the dozens and dozens of camper van companies. Also Ford factories and parts logistics are geared to manufacture hundreds of thousands of units and have thousands of parts that are common across makes and models. They are not set up to make hundreds of units and each camper model has way too many options and configurations for Ford’s structure.

Hi Stephen, Ford don't currently list solar panels as an option for the Nugget. However, there are suppliers out there that can wire in a solar panel to the leisure battery so this is something that can be arranged.

Straight off the bat, this guy lost me with "full-size kitchen...", then "full-size fridge...", then "full-scale dining area...".... and "full-size stepladder" is anything less or smaller than "full"?
Anthony if you mean the larger rectangle its a hole that you can access things like the electric/ gas switch etc when the bench seat is in day mode. Also can store and access the outdoor chairs. We are new UK owners and if you want to know more we ‘ve done some clips on our channel. Have a look if you think would be of use. ‘Exploring the nugget’ playlist probably best one to start with if you want more instructional/practical info.
Nice, very clever use of space. BUT, I question the comfort of the rear travel seats for a long journey as they do not appear to be contoured at all in order to convert into a flat bed. Will you be doing extended test drives or hire (try before you buy) at all?
Hi Richard, Thank you for your comment. yes, we agree it is a very clever use of space. In answer to the rear seats, they are a very similar comfort to a Transit Custom or Tourneo Custom. Being quite thick/chunky to aid comfort for laying down, they are actually surprisingly comfortable. for both long and short journeys. Unfortunately at this moment in time, we cannot offer extended test drives due to the rise in Covid-19 cases. This is not to say we may offer them in the future! Can’t be any worse than the mainstream VW seats with crap layouts that everyone has. I’ll be driving anyway so the rear seats wouldn’t be an issue for me
Handy hint (which I'm surprised the manufacturers don't do)... run a length of elasticated cord right round it and it'll 'pinch' the sides in as it closes.

Funny old world, despite my comments/concerns 4 months ago we have a Nugget Plus (L2, H1) on order. It really is a superb layout.

It's aimed at UK use. Day van and weekends. Not trips to the moon.
I prefer a smaller couch and with more storage room. A freezer/fridge and solar panels and battery would be excellent. Nice build.
