I feel you on that! Take time you get your own stuff taken care of🙏🏽 I do the same thing… fix everyone else’s rides while the list on my own vehicles grow longer 😂
I have a 1994 gmc stepside that I ŵill be switching out a benchseat for 2 suburban seats. I am using your great video as the guide . Thanks for putting out great info.
Thank you for your video. I’m actually doing opposite, bucket seats for 60/40 so I can fit my kids in the truck with me. Looks like I will need a double seat belt since mine only has one on the drivers side.
I left my original seat belts and latches in there so I could put a bench back if I want. I actually wanted the 60/40 seat but, couldn't find any that was affordable and in the blue color I wanted so, I went with the buckets I got.
It’s a nice 60/40 set from 88-94 years near me on marketplace. I’m in Indiana but the seats are in Illinois about an hour away for $150. I ended up finding blue buckets from a 94. I love em!!!
First 5 seconds i thought no way thats Wesley Snipes 😂....just browsing though for ideas i got a 92 c1500 completely gutted inside ready for a build ....thanks for your video mate 👍
I have a 92 k2500, I bought a 2000 with a 6.0 4l80e 4x4, nothing special, but planning on starting swap on it as soon as I get a second vehicle, been doing small things here and there on it like lights and bull bar and stuff, just my old work truck that I'm modifying lol
Hey man, that's great! I wish you the best on your build!✊🏾✊🏾 That's why I do what I do. I install what I can afford when I can because I need a 2nd running vehicle. The impala was a great candidate but, it now needs a motor. Keep wrenching dude!🤟🏾🤟🏾
I appreciate you! I always try to respond to my viewers comments or questions. I belive they came out of a 96-99 extended cab truck like mine. Hope this helps!✊🏾✊🏾
Man my dash look same!!! Big ole pieces cracked out. Hahaha bro. I keep coming back. Not sure if i told you, I drove my 92 over to where i am living now. I need to shoot a video for you brother. She over heated on way so after sitting 3 years from covid and health i had to put battery but she fired up. Needs radiator flush for sure as i dont think any antifreeze in it all water with a red tint maybe fron rust in the radiator i hope not but might explain the heating up on way. She never did this and i never changed therm. Ok bro. Peace and God Bless. From Ga
Awesome man! Keep wrenching on her dude! All you gotta do is get the cobwebs out from sitting. I'm glad you are better and I hope she gets better too! I appreciate the love from GA! Be blessed man!✊🏾✊🏾
@kennethboydsr3966 thank you! I just posted a video of me and my son putting the bench seat back in because my wife crashed her car and we had no other vehicle for all 3 of us to fit in. I put the buckets in the storage house though. You should check it out. Thanks for watching!✊🏾✊🏾
Thank you! I'm glad the video was a blessing to you. I'm not sure. I have a very good friend who was about to junk a truck they was already swapped into. I'm thinking they came from a 96-98 obs truck. I had to buy hardware to make them fit my truck though.
When you drilled the inner two holes for the driver side, did it already have a receiver or did you just drill holes, slide bolts and tighten with nuts? I have a 60 driver that I’m taking out in the next few days and need to do the two inner for my bucket seat.
Good question. I drilled holes to the size of the bolts I used and then fastened them down with lock washers and lock nuts. Good luck with your swap!✊🏾✊🏾
I don't know exactly but, I used some that were almost the same size as the outer bolts. Since there are no holes there for mounting, I had to drill through the floor and use flat washers and blue lock tight on the bolts. I hope this helps!✊🏾✊🏾
If I did it, you can too!✊🏾✊🏾 I believe they came out of a 96-98 C1500 extended cab truck. I wish I had the center console from it too but, it was damaged.
@user-hf4eh2ts3q that sounds good. I probably would try that too from when I was deep into the car audio like when I was younger. I hope it works out for you!
I used my Dewalt hammer drill and attachment to use a deep socket and a box end wrench to fasten them down. I used the factory fastener on one or two holes I think. Have to check the video to be sure. I done forget myself. 😆😆
I like it to. I know your video is 2 years old but it was just what I was looking for.
It don't matter to me dude! I am just glad you found it and it helped you in some way!✊🏾✊🏾
@@WorkingwithBobby yes it did, I have a 91 GMC I’m building right now.
@@22onachevy great! And good luck on your build!
How does the passenger side seat bolt down. Does it use existing bolt holes or do you have to make new ones?
@@wyattfuller827 I don't know. I'm still looking for a seat for the passenger side of my truck.
Thank you for this video. I have a 88 Chevy with the bench seat and wanted to swap to a captains chair… you gave me confidence to make the swap
I am humbled by your comment and glad you are about to do your own seat swap! Way to go! Keep wrenching!✊🏾✊🏾

Seats look comfortable good job and thanks for sharing
They are! I'm so glad to have them in the truck man! Thanks for watching!✊🏾✊🏾
Thanks buddy! Wanted to find someone swapping out bench seats to buckets. Going to do the same thing on my 1990. Thanks

Nice and a console will definitely be handy.
Thanks Mr John! I seen one on Facebook Marketplace that I got my eye on.✊🏾✊🏾
I did this in my 93 but I had some Fiero seats with speakers in the headrest that I mounted in with the bucket seat brackets from another 1500.
That's whats up! I didn't know fiero seats would work with the truck brackets.
I guess close enough to work. I love them.

Looks really nice..i will try to find but i have a 93 extended cab... Thank to share with us Sr.
Thank you so much! I appreciate it! Thy are out there. Hope you find the seats you looking for. Glad to share and help!✊🏾✊🏾
Hi, I’m seats really look good. I got a 1990 I think I’m just gonna get my seat covered.
Hey, do you have new taillights? If so, would i be able to ask where you got them and how much they were? I need some too. Thanks!😁👍☮️
Yes sir. Had them on there 3 years now I think. They came from Amazon as an anniversary gift from my wife. They work great!
Thanks, I’m going to be doing the same thing to my truck. 👍🏻
I’m thinking I should have room for a 12 volt cooler between the seats 🤔
No problem! Glad to hear that!✊🏾✊🏾...I think I have around 10 inches of clearance between both seats. Hopefully the cooler you choose will fit.
@@WorkingwithBobby thanks, I’ll be sure to measure the coolers available, if it’s a little “snug” I don’t mind
Awesome look! Way better than before…
Are u putting a center console too ?
Thanks man! I don't know. I would like to but, it's hard to find them in that color near me. I've been just enjoying the extra space for now.😁😁
Cool !!
What kind of seat did you use for replacement. I'm now convinced I to add seats to my 93 k3500
I used seats out of a 96-99 c1500 extended cab. I think that's what they came out of.
🙏🏽 Thank you 😊
You're welcome
Great video!! What vehicle did the seats come out of?
Thank you! I'm glad the video was a blessing to you. I'm not sure. I have a very good friend who was about to junk a truck they was already swapped into. I'm thinking they came from a 96-98 obs truck. I had to buy hardware to make them fit my truck though.

You could just buy a cover for the dash that slips on if you don’t care about looks underneath.
Yeah, I'll know that the beauty is literally skin deep on that dash then. I've seen the covers but, I really want to replace it.
How did you secure the other side of passanger seat. Are there holes under the carpet?
Good question, I had to drill holes for that side. I might have been able to use the outside holes closest to the door. I hope this helps.✊🏾✊🏾
it is easier to just unbolt the seatbelts vs trying to pull them thru
I agree to a certain point. If this was something I was doing slowly, I would have but, as usual, I'm in a rush since this is the only vehicle I have.
What size bolts did you use to mount the inner sides on the seats ?
I don't know exactly but, I used some that were almost the same size as the outer bolts. Since there are no holes there for mounting, I had to drill through the floor and use flat washers and blue lock tight on the bolts. I hope this helps!✊🏾✊🏾
Did it give you more steering wheel room to lean back more
Oh yeah! The seats almost made the cab feel bigger. They are a little taller than the bench seat though.
@@WorkingwithBobby i got a 2002 c3500HD with a bench i want to change the seats for more room im big and kinda tall for a single cab 😂
@@robertmunoz11 those bucket seats will definitely help with that!
I wanna do this too. What year/type of vehicle are your bucjet seats from? Thanks.!
If I did it, you can too!✊🏾✊🏾 I believe they came out of a 96-98 C1500 extended cab truck. I wish I had the center console from it too but, it was damaged.
@@WorkingwithBobby cool.Ill turn my center console into a sub box, maybe. Or 3-12" or 2 maybe 3 JL Audio 13.5" subs blowing through the rear wall.

What year truck are the new seats out of?
96 or 97 extended cab Sierra or Silverado
How did you get the bolts in where you had to drill? Thinking about doing this to my 93
I used my Dewalt hammer drill and attachment to use a deep socket and a box end wrench to fasten them down. I used the factory fastener on one or two holes I think. Have to check the video to be sure. I done forget myself. 😆😆
I got a extra center console
Really? Is it possible that you could send me pictures of the console and how much you want for it? If you are local, I can come and pick it up.
Is the bench seat comfortable ?
It was before it wore slap out!😆😆 I turned it into a couch for the shop.
😂😂😂😂
What’s your son’s channel name?
Thanks for asking! It's called, Reading with Bryce.
