@Lee_obschevy hey man, thanks! I appreciate it. I try to be better everyday than I was the previous one. I watch Tony Angelo on stay tuned from up there. Thanks for watching!
No wonder 💀💀 I just replaced it like 2 weeks ago and it ain’t getting to operating temp probably a bad thermostat 😑
My 2002 f250 shakes when i brake. Replaced the calipers because i thought one was sticking. I guess i should've replaced the rotors as well
@@Petedakilla more than likely, the rotors are out of round. That's the main cause of vibration when brakes are applied.
@WorkingwithBobby thank you
Great How-To video!
@budmanzoom4441 thanks sir. I'm glad the video helped you.✊🏾✊🏾
Does your 🔁 recirculating mode work on your AC without the high pressure switch on the back of your compressor ?...I'm asking because the compressor on my 91 c1500 don't have it either..I heard that i do need it for the recirculating to work (if not not i won't be able to use the recirculating) and others saying that no (it' is built in the system)
@MOE13576 good question. My high pressure switch is on the line near the accumutor. It wasn't on the back of the compressor. And my recirculation mode worked regardless...that is, until all the refrigerant leaked out due to a faulty evaporator. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
@WorkingwithBobby ah ok...damn that sucks..was your evaporator broken or something?
@MOE13576 no, just old. Most of what you see me doing to my truck is replacement of parts that are OE. When I got this truck it was bone stock. As I upgraded I had to repair. As I made repairs, I took the opportunity to upgrade. One day, it will actually look like I see it in my head.✊🏾✊🏾
@@WorkingwithBobby ah ok...good shlt👍, hopefully soon
Wait till they figure out it could be there water pump😂😂
@brandonburnett9288 they will surely be disappointed if it is because, I had to replace the one on this car before I sold it and it was not fun to replace!!!
Thanks for posting my friend has a 1995 and his is needing a new radio put in today. Should be quite easy for us
@@ernie0699 glad I could help!
thanks so much we already replaced the head unit in the vehicle and works great 100%
@ernie0699 thats what I'm talking about!✊🏾✊🏾
Good job hand. You should make a video of you growing some corn on ur dash board there because you could you know lol
@@t.parnell5252 it must look worse than I thought!😆😆
Ehh it sucks but you had one on hand. I told your brother they just don't make them like they used to and it's a shity situation when you're out on the road and it happens.
@ogt92fromthe1step9 it was. I was beside the road in the cold with my family until the flatbed came. It was down all week until I fixed it Friday. Thanks dude, you definitely helped me on this one.✊🏾✊🏾
@WorkingwithBobby I'm sorry you had to go through that brother. But it was a lesson that hopefully is ingrained for life now. Just because something is new doesn't mean it's "quality". I'm glad you got it figured out and fixed 👊💪
You gotta use that high heat thermal paste for those modules if not they're gonna overheat
@@road2richz_q266 I got you. I just used the paste that came with the module.
The LS has a barbell that needs to be installed or you won't have oil pressure
@Reaperhydraulicstampa I know about the barbell but, I didn't take the rear cover off to see if it's still there.
No that's the pressure relief valve
@@Reaperhydraulicstampa in the oil pan? Should it be removed when doing a DOD delete?
@@WorkingwithBobby it stays in. I seen where you can upgrade the spring. The upgrade will yield you 15 to 20 psi before it releases. It's not necessary but is available.
@Reaperhydraulicstampa ok thanks for telling me.
Also my apologies Mrs I got into the video happy birthday
@@claysteinbrink9559 thank you!
No don't go that third one two adjustments that's good enough the rest of that play is from your pitman arm and your idler arm those are the two little arms connected to the frame rails that hold the one Long bar that your tie rod ends are connected to
@claysteinbrink9559 good to know. Thanks man!
Is that one a street fire MSD?
@unas I wish! It's just an Amazon special. I can't afford MSD parts right now. One day, I will though.✊🏾✊🏾
at 4:21 those holes are to be pluged
@29auto30 I noticed that in some other videos and on the chevy performance channel also recommended that when doing the DOD delete.
@@WorkingwithBobby they do not need to be plugged if the cover has o-rings in it however it is a good idea to plug them so that way you never have to worry if they are leaking
@baby-sharkgto4902 the cover does have o-rings. And you're right. That would be good insurance.
@@baby-sharkgto4902 agreed
@@WorkingwithBobby The part # for the plugs is LM603049 bearing, you just cut the bearing apart.$11 at Oreillys.plenty of videos on it.
If you decide to upgrade from factory bose let me know. I can show you easy bypass that doesn't involve cutting anything.
@@CoreyAdi to upgrade or replace the factory radio?
Here's an f.y.i. if you run into it (hope you dont). My son and I were putting a 5.3 LS in BMW drift car, in place of the inline 6, and found out the owner broke the #2 connecting rod on 2 separate motors up front and we couldn't figure it out, but we ended up finding that fuel injector sticking open, filling the cylinder with fuel. So when they tried to start it, the piston couldnt compress the fuel (obviously) and broke the rod like how a piston would hit the head. So beware of bad fuel injectors dumping fuel into the motor is my point. But keep up the channel, love it. I have a 90 silverado 1500 so im definitely watchin!☮️
@mqweihgbhkgfvj good information and I'm sorry that happened to you guys. I will definitely look out for that. OBS gang!😁😁 I hope I'm posting videos that can help you.✊🏾✊🏾
@WorkingwithBobby The videos definitely help! Appreciate the reply. Have a good day!
That's cam bearing material. The cam should be forged steel and it shaved bearing, probably going in and out.
@@CoreyAdi could this have been caused by not installing the retainer plate? I would think that would allow the cam to walk back and forth through the block and low oil pressure...
Sometimes you have to chamfer the edges of the cam bearing. It helps for a smoother install.
@CoreyAdi maybe he put them in straight out the box if that's the case.
That block probably has high miles and had worn cam bushings to start with. Most likely cam and lifter swap (dod delete) and other than that it was a spray can rebuild.
@CoreyAdi the builder didn't do what a good builder would have.
That's thousands of miles worth of heat and oil build up. If a machine shop did a rebuild everything would look almost new. A rinse in a hot tank will clean up almost everything. Is that an iron block or aluminum?
@CoreyAdi I know this and you know this. The builder evidently did not.🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ it's an aluminum block.
I would think the bottom end is ok. It wouldn't hurt to pull rod and main caps to inspect and plastigauge. Pull front and rear cover from block, remove cam and inspect cam bearings. The o ring on the pickup tube is usually a problem if not seated well. Pickup tube itself could be clogged. My biggest question is, was low oil pressure verified with a manual gauge?
@CoreyAdi my friend intends to take the shortblock to the machine shop for that. I have done far too much work on this motor already.
Bobby at 13 minutes and 42 seconds you show a picture of the two heads. The right head in that picture, top intake valve appears to be burnt or chipped. Just a heads up
@ogt92fromthe1step9 thanks man, I didn't look at them in detail yet. If the block is good, he may want the heads freshened up as well. Good eye on that dude!✊🏾✊🏾
@WorkingwithBobby best of luck man. Those "wires" you pulled off the cam are probably the remainder of the last cam bearing (you are also right it should not take any force to pop the cam out). If any of that made it to the oil pump or down to the oil barbell that would explain your lack of oil pressure. What o-ring was on the oil pump pickup tube? Was it green or black? The wrong o-ring will cause lack of oil pressure as well.
@ogt92fromthe1step9 oh OK. It was green. Pretty thick too. Why?
@@WorkingwithBobby if the tube for the pickup is grooved or tapered (bell-shaped) you use the green o-ring. If the tube is just straight you use the black o-ring. The difference in the inside diameter is about .03" and that will cause oil starvation. I know you don't know what originally came off of it, but for future reference and if you ever build your own, you can also tell by the original color. If it was originally red then use the green o-ring and if it was originally blue the use the black o-ring.
@ogt92fromthe1step9 ok, thanks for the information. This was all stuff I never knew. What I may do is see if my friend wants to take the machine shop and all the parts to let them I spect and reassemble. Then all I will have to do is install the heada and finish the build and put the engine back in the truck.
I did it that way on my 2000 and 2005. It was way easier.
@@CoreyAdi ok cool.
That's good brother, God bless you and your family, thank you for posting

Nice tip, so much better than cutting up the bed!
@artgov thanks dude! I've heard of people doing that. I thought about it but, I didn't want to do that with my tool box being back there. I think it would work if someone had a clean bed and did it the right way.
@ I agree I have seen people make access holes in taboes and suburban rather than drop a tank, crazy! To each their own.
@artgov you're right. If I absolutely had to do that, I would try my best to make it look nice. I wouldn't want it all hacked up.
Great work bobby..thanks!
@@terrypittman6960 you're welcome!✊🏾✊🏾
Usually agree with you, but I got to be the dumb one that found dropping the tank with a motorcycle or transmission is easier.
@@roughneck2204 it's OK. It's not all about agreeing. We don't all do things the same. I thought the same way working on cars for years until I had to do my own truck. I'll drop the tank on a lift, YES. But, on the ground on my back, I'd rather tilt the bed of any truck any day.

Good stuff Bobby. How did the blinkers work with the new LEDs? Did you have to install a load resistor?
@ogt92fromthe1step9 at first, they worked horribly. After I installed a digital flasher, they worked a whole lot better.

And techmax led lights are the best for obs like we got@@WorkingwithBobby
@ that one is pretty heavy duty. It’s the step before bumper replacement. Wouldn’t look right on a sw, but on that 3/4 ton 4x4. I’d like to put it on my z71, but I got to get the body lift off first and get suspension lift.

that first weld looks better than most factory welds on chinese stuff.
@GUSftw 😆😆 Thanks man!
Good stuff brother, keep it up💪.You can't go wrong with the hobo freight Omni pro 220. It's a multi-processor. It's a 120/220 V Arc DC Tig and Mig. If you check right now they came down quite a bit for the Black Friday sales I don't know if it's still going on but they took like $400 off the overall cost. I love it for what it is. It's not a Lincoln or a Miller but I'll tell you what it does a nicer job than my Lincoln pro 135. I've had this thing for a year and a half now and it seems nothing but abuse and neglect and it still keeps on giving. Even if you don't get that particular on, get something that is mig you can still burn flux core till you save up to get bottles. You'll save money in the long run if you buy a rig that works with gas. I'm happy for you brother 🤟.
@@ogt92fromthe1step9 ok cool, I'll look into it. I was there earlier and forgot to look at the welders they had.🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
@WorkingwithBobby do it up brother. Get whatever welder you want, it's just worth it buying something that can run gas instead of getting frustrated wishing you could run. Flux core will get you by, however the cleanup and the quality of weld gets frustrating.
