Hi Michelle, Happy weekend. I’ve been enjoying many videos featuring Dr. John Gray-thank you for producing such great content! I believe there are various types of men in the market. Would it be possible to have him speak about dating busy, successful, middle-aged men who are divorced and have kids? I’m very happy with my partner, but he is extremely busy, traveling every month due to his demanding business. While I’m also a career driven woman, his level of busyness is on another level. Thanks very much!

Listening to this and realizing I did all the things that John Gray said he wouldn’t have his wife handle (talking to the neighbors, the attorney etc) and realizing what a coward my ex was and why I became so turned off by him. I resented him turning into the woman of the relationship. That’s what I wanted to be

I’m a menopause denier… Meaning I deny the way people talk about menopause hormonal changes like it’s out of our control. I feel more feminine than ever post menopause and I’m experiencing all the physical benefits of that. I think it’s because of all the healing work I’ve done on myself. I propose that perhaps the hormones follow the experience not vice versa and I think John Gray makes a great case that hormones can be affected by our life experience.

@@Lulu-nn8mg oh I totally believe in science! True science is about continually asking questions. The more I explore about the human body the more fascinated I am about its intelligence. So I’m just refusing to buy into the idea that our body randomly stops creating hormones that make us feel good when in fact, it might have more to do with the quality of our relationships. It’s more of a chicken and egg question. It makes much more sense to me that in our current society we don’t have the quality of relationships that balance our hormones versus that our body just stops producing what we need.

Tell men to keep the kitchen sink empty, empty the dishwasher, keep the kitchen garbage clean & every day his partner will want him even more. The kitchen is the source of love, comfort & family but at the same time, stressful bc of all of the necessary ongoing cleanup!! Women are tired of getting stuck in the kitchen all the time. It's very tiring. That's a way to keep your wife very happy!

Men definitely STOP putting in the same effort that they did in the beginning. Everyone I know, myself included have complained til we were blue in the face about how little effort they put once men "made it" in the relationship. We fall for men for the CONSTANT little gestures and displays of attention and effort. DO NOT love starve your woman when you have proven to be able to provide her with more. It would be like you signing up to work for someone who pays you extremely well for doing a job, and once you sign a 5 year contract that employer starts putting more and more on your agenda without any increase in pay. IT's like ... nah fam. I know you got money to pay, so pay me for my time. Same thing. We know you got the time to spend with us, the energy to spend with us like when you were single so stop making excuses and pay up with your attention and company.

Going out with a man and him giving other women, young women the once over, no matter how briefly, is a passion killer. The way to destroy any respect or feelings a woman would have for her man. Men's piggish behaviour is so disgusting, hurtful, off putting it can ruin a car drive as he gawks at a womans butt in tight yoga pants, a lovely meal where his eyes roam the breasts and crotch of a young waitress 6 inches in front of him, even a holiday where flesh is on display.
No matter where you are, if his eyes are roaming over another woman's body, even for a second, it is destroying any closeness. Not jealousy, just disgust at betrayal. Ive seen women with their husbands actively turn away when waiters, young men look for attention. However, men can be so demeaning to their wives ogling other women. All other women in the area can see it, as well as the woman being ogled, so it's public humiliation for the wife/girlfriend. There's a way of looking too that's actually flirting. To me, like the Bible says; if a man looks at a woman with lust, in his heart he has committed the sin. The worst part is when they deny what the woman has seen right in front of her.

I know this is going to sound weird, and 😅 silly, but if you ask directly, they feel lesser than, because they didn’t think abt it first as the protector/provider. So to get a man to do something, you have to present a problem. Example--it’s so hot in here and I’m not sure why? I don’t know how it gets so hot in here. Or our electric bill is getting so high, I wish there was a way to lower it. When you phrase it in a way, it’s a problem to be solved, and men adore a problem to be solved. Then gush over how great the solution he came up with worked. It works.

    • @cutechiangels
      @cutechiangels หลายเดือนก่อน +6

Same here. John generalises a lot. Which is easy, but not real. Especially nowadays, where men are very different to 30-40+ yrs ago... He says not to give into a man who complains or is a sissy boy. But, so many men are, nowadays!! Ugh.
I haven't come across any man who wants just sex, or intimacy. In Western countries. Often, it was even me who was longing for the physical intimacy really badly, in the relationship. And that's extreemly frustrating. So, that last years I prefer staying on my own. At least no triggers...
A lot of men have huge problems with that subject.
In their heads it's all upside down, and in their bodies they don't get erections, or come extreemly fast, etc... Don't wish to cuddle up, etc. 😓
A lot of women experience these phenomenon. Our societies are really f**ked up. How can we put that straight again? I'm so nostalgic of the 20ies, and to finding my Mr. Right, today! 🙏👌🌟

Ok… thanks for addressing strong, single women… but let’s be real. Men need women more than women need men. We have love and happiness on our own, and most men have too many issues to be able to make our lives better. A lot of the time men actually provide no value. Taking the trash out is not difficult 😂 It’s not our job to “keep” a man or keep him from cheating. That message is pure misogyny and puts the blame on women

Thanks for your interview. I enjoy the way you listen well and put questions out, afterwards.🙂I read two of his books, 20 yrs ago. Hated them. Especially venus vs mars. So linear, very sexist, his facts, and only based on hormones..No advice, nor tips. Nothing.
It was very boring and frustrating to read though. I threw them away. Amazing they sold so well!! Trash.
Women and men aren't so black and white nowadays. In this interview he's evolved a bit. And at last he gives some advice, but it's still so linear. My God, if it where so black and white, we wouldn't have any trouble with relationships !
Plus, I have never encountered a man who likes doing diy chores around the house, nor for his wife, and even less if his she asks it. He'll wait until she forces him or gets into a rage!! Be it with European or Oriental men, house chores were always mine. I hated it. And I learned to diy too, because otherwise I would've waited an enternity.
Or, sometimes the man would hire a worker in urgent or very heavy duty work.
I can't see John doing any diy, btw, either!! And, I think he only does a minimum of house chores, too! So...
I wish it were as easy as he says...

He is great made valid points.
    But one thing that’s off.
I think God made woman and man on purpose, not for them to be so different and things to be so hard. If a man isn’t a man and he not pursuing you, which is his natural nature, actually nothing a woman really does or doesn’t do, turns off a naturally healthy man. So if he doesn’t overall like your APPEARANCE, which men like 99% of woman anyway, he won’t pursue. That’s a man’s nature. Very visual. A real man understands a woman is like the moon.
We do not have to be perfect.
He explains us like estrogen makes us completely different creatures. We are definitely almost identical to the man. That’s what he absolutely doesn’t know. We are 98.2% identical.
If it’s not working then move on. Don’t try to change a million things about yourself. A real man wants a woman with depth. Not just a nice sweet girl. Trust and believe

I’m very glad you said that. The Bible states we were created in his image, meaning both man and woman….men have hormones and they have feelings and their complex and to signify women as so strange..is very interesting, we are not so different…But it’s a man explaining it.

You got me thinking 🤔. I believe God made men and women different because God wanted men and women to be different. It’s ok to be different 😉. Otherwise God would’ve made us all men or all women , don’t you think?

I’m not sure how factual the estrogen & testosterone thing is. Physiologically speaking both women and men bond with oxytocin. Oxytocin is the same hormone/neurotramitter that bonds a mother to her baby. When women have sex, oxytocin is released, and she feels more bonded. On the contrary, when men have sex, they release testosterone, which blocks the binding receptors for oxytocin. So biologically, women bond with sex, but men almost the opposite. Physical touch however, releases oxytocin for both parties, i.e; hugging, cuddling, kissing, etc.

Good question. It could be that he doesn’t know how to accept love, or feels like he deserves it. If he grew up with emotionally unavailable parents (or prior abusive relationships) he is probably used to trying to get love from people who are not capable of loving. I don’t think it has anything to do with you personally.

Men and women bond differently :) Men need prolactin in order to bond with you specifically... if there is no prolactin produced after sex, they can be attracted to somebody else shortly after... because novelty is a simple way to rebuild testosterone (chasing, conquering, etc.) If they are addicted to that, it can become like a habit... A lot of men do that without understanding why their feelings suddenly "vanish" for no apparent reason an why they become apathetic towards their woman...
