I purchased a Yuan Plus and imported it, so I have the Chinese version. No FM radio or navigation. You say Google Maps won’t work? Any idea for another navigation app that will work? Can I download apple CarPlay or Android Auto using this method?

Great video Vlad! I have the updated software in my car so there is no Wireless debug mode any longer. Does this method work around that problem? Also, if I want to install TH-cam Music, do you know if I need core Google services framework? I am guessing I will but don't know what is involved to do that.
For TH-cam and other Google related apps you will have to install Google Service
mine got lost wireless debug too after upgrade from v1.0 to v1.1

Hey Alon, do you have "Wireless debugging"? if so, use it, otherwise, you will have to do it through the hidden USB port near to the gas pedal (note, that some OTG adapters might not work ).
Hey vlad, have you found a solution for attos with the latest firmware that has wireless adb removed? This method doesn't work unfortunately on this latest firmware.
I also have seen that you can connect a usb keyboard to the car to access some hidden android shortcuts - not sure if this would enable some backdoor for sideloading apps.
Desperately want to add some apps!
Not yet, working on that. Keyboard, is an interesting idea, not sure how it can help though.
@@vladlanda The keyboard can open a hidden SMS app on the tablet, not sure if that could help send commands or anything.
Does it look like there would be a way to sideload at all? Just want to know if I should give up hope haha

Hello Vlad, I have the latest version and when I try it I can't find any devices. Do you think I need wireless debug mode on? On my screen it also says I don't have wireless debug mode. Please help I wanna enjoy the massive screen and watch some TH-cam!
I think it is an OTG settings issue, I ordered a few different OTGs to examine on a No wireless debugging vehicle

I have the version 13.1.26.2206160.1 without Spotify and Hi BYD, My question is are there and limitations what app you can install I have try with Netflix no success there are some missing google components and also the same with other apps. I have try both from my phone and also try with my phone to install APK same result. Also other question is this possible with also the newest version of BYD software? BYD assistant is built in (not an external app), however, as far as I know you can install Spotify if your system is configured to Australia region
I just tried today but the ATTO3 did not detect my Mac. The debug mode USB is switched on already. Many thanks.

In general, BYD should release an update that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Unfortunately this method does not work for me. (I'm on the firmware that has wireless adb removed)
The atto cannot be found as a listed device no matter if i try different ports etc.
If you put the apk on the micro sd, can it be installed from the sd when debug is on?
Sadly not, you will get the following message: "For your driving safety and system stability, please do not install third party apps"

Please check your warranty policy. In general, I don't believe you can harm your system by installing the app (similar to installing one on your mobile phone), but you should check with your car dealer and warranty policy. Hi Vlad, I tried both your methods and neither work. It seems my car has the latest update which removes the 'wireless adb debug swtich' option. However, the 'debug mode when USB...' option was still available.
I tried using your method, but it appears the device cannot be picked up using the powershell terminal command.
Any ideas or suggestions?

cannot u guys just download apk to a usb stick and plug it in the car and then install from the car? i have been doing it with my byd han for the past 2 years. there is no need to type in any command.
For me its not working
@@vladlanda odd. I could install a lot of apps that way. When u plug in a usb drive to the car (it has to be a power/data plug), doesnot the system let u explore the folder and tap on the apk files to run installation? there is also a microsd slot that works for me for this purpose.
@@qilu2004 you can try now...the atto3 is different it is international version.

@@vladlanda mine is a HAN ev performance version, the flagship sedan of byd. it runs on v1.3. i have friends who owns TANG evs and installing app on tang also works like i said. the software platform is the same for all different models. it is possible for exported units, they disabled sideloading options because google imposed on an exclusive restriction.
