Join Hawaiian artists from across the pae 'āina in a virtual, interisland kanikapila promoting lōkahi, aloha 'āina and kuleana!
In partnership with Kamehameha Publishing and 4 Miles LLC, Project KULEANA proudly presents an inspiring rendition of "Kaulana Nā Pua," also know as "Mele 'Ai Pōhaku" or "Mele Aloha 'Āina," penned by Ellen Kekoaohiwaikalani Wright Prendergast in 1893 in response to the overthrow of Queen Lili'uokalani and the Hawaiian Kingdom. A mele with resounding significance for the Hawaiian lāhui then and now.
Including performances by Nā Haumāna o Ke Kula 'O Samuel M. Kamakau, Palani Vaughn, Hālau Nā Pualei o Likolehua, Keali'i Reichel, Kekuhi Keali'ikanaka'oleohaililani, Ernie Cruz Jr., Sam Ako, Nāpua Makua, Carlos Andrade, Manu Boyd, the Brown 'ohana, Lady Ipo and Kainani Kahaunaele, Kamakoa Lindsey-Asing, Glen Smith, Brother Noland Conjugation, Sonny Lim, Līhau Hannahs-Paik, Chadd Paishon, Keao Costa, Ed Pūnua, Keale, Mike Ka'awa, Leina'ala Kalama-Heine and more!
