  • It's not an easy task but you can change the rear tire on an Emove Touring.
The stock tire is 200x50mm and the upgrade I installed is 200x60.
The wider tire looks better and rides better.
    You will need
    - Allen wrenches
    - Adjustable Wrench
    - 10mm socket or wrench
    - c-clamp and wood or rubber
    - boiling water
    - tire levers
    - patience

Hey - Thanks for the vid. You are correct in noticing the lack of any rear-wheel related advice for the Touring. In your vid you take the brake arm off the hub to remove the tire; that's not a necessary step. That small hex screw (to the right of the brake arm) is all that's holding it to the shock arm. You can take the tire off with the brake arm intact by wiggling it around a bit. I didn't realize you could go up to the 200 x 60 but that is good to know!

Thank you. This is helpful. I am about to replace my rear tire after not quite two years (I have a very short commute). I am not trying the wider tire, but it does look like a good idea. I didn't think of that before I bought my replacement rear tire.

Good stuff Thanks for making the video ,how long did total process take you, I am estimating 2 to 2 1/2 hours? I Have to pre-price it as a job for someone,
And wanted to give the customer an estimate. First time we changed the tire of a Emove cruiser took like three hours whole process and a lot of 🤬 🙂.

Thanks for the video!!! I started searching for something like this when I realized my tires no longer stopping me the way it used to. Compared to the original tire do you feel the replacement one give you more control and better traction and stopping as well? I’ve had it skid out from under me when slamming the breaks to avoid a head on collision with a driver turning across a double yellow line without signaling and I got dragged. Also … where can I get your tire from?

I can't get the motor assembly to separate using a hammer (like you managed at 4:48). Ideas? How hard did you whack it?

Hey do u know what the thickness on the wheel needs to be to fit it? I've seen thickness of 27mm or 37mm. Not if both would fit
