West Dauphin Island. You got to walk a pretty good while to get there. If you look on Google maps where the houses end, it's about another 1.5 miles past that.

Who said reds aren't good to eat? Never heard that before and they taste great to me.

I was actually referring to the bulls. You can’t keep them in Florida and I heard the bulls have worms, but I bet they’re still pretty decent to be honest.

I’m from Florida so I’ve never eaten a bull red before but I’ve heard they aren’t as good when they get bigger. Love to eat me some slot fish though!

Two beautiful bull reds!! Love the fight they give. Favorite bait is bull(mud)minnows , finger mullet, but there's nothing wrong with pin or croaker either, everything in the water eats them more than anything else.
Don't know what the slot is for Alabama, but I'm not into eating the bigger reds either. I enjoy catching the bulls, moved to Florida just because of reds, and reds are my favorite eaters, but when I take one home it's 18-22" for the table.
Again, that was some fine catching.
