Found this video just now, and I can tell you this: I have bought flimsy rod and reel combos years ago from aliexpress. These combos still works fine! I still use a baitcaster combo for ultra light fishing. Also I have bought several rods that also is ok for pearch and zander using 7-25 gr lures. You get what you pay for. I take care of all those cheaper things as I do with my more expensive shimano, daiwa and abu stuff. The aliexpress rods are absolutely fine. They are all fitted with nice line guides, but I think the temu/aliexpress reels are not made to last that long or made to last for heavier fishing. Too many gears made with cheaper plastic inside of them and bad bearings so they may wear out fast. Other than that it was a nice video!

Nice. I use Sougayilang reels for most of my fishing. I have not had any problems with them. I fish for Salmon, panfish and Catfish.

It’s not the outside ok of a reel, it’s what the reel is made of. Ball bearings how many the gear drive quality, etc you get what you py for.

Cheap aluminium??? All my Soulayigang rods are very decent carbon fibre rods. They seem to be better than most though they do make rods for others who put their own brand in them. There is a video on TH-cam where you can see them being made in their factory.,

I have a few Temu reels that are actually really great reels, and I have a few that wouldn't even make a good paper weight. . . Over all though, I have gotten some really good fishing/outdoor items on the cheap. It's pretty much like everything else these days. Some of it is well worth more than the price paid for it, and some isn't. It's not going to stop me from buying more cheap stuff from them to try out and use though. lol.

My own personal opinion is if I can help it, I stay away from made in china, my grandmother is chinese, so being racist is out of the question. It's a question of material quality and durability, and many products that are made from china are counterfeit taken from legitimate companies that spend money on research and development. When it comes to fishing, reels, especially saltwater reels, name brands, their design are water tight sealed designs and tough materials that are corrosive resistant to saltwater. That's what makes these reels more expensive compared to cheap reels that are made in china. But it will still be based on individual preference, my own personal opinion.

Rubish for $50 you can get ausum reels I. Tackle shops comes out cheaper they slug u with P&H

I think there is good and bad of all products. Temu makes everyone scared because of the cheap price. I've gotten good and bad products from temu and Amazon
