- Our Cruise on Iona continues, after a delay in leaving Southampton we try to make up time as we head for our first Port of call , Madeira.
This vlog concentrates on life aboard the Ship over three sea days.

Enjoyed watching this one as always ❤. Funny mother's day cards Pearl ,especially the one that looks like you on the boat with bottle of champagne 😅. Our children know us so well don't they 🫣. 😅. The lasers look cool in the dome part look forward to seeing that. We will also look forward to going to the pictures as we still say 😅 as well . Lovely waking up to the sound of the sea and no cars or building perfect freedom 😊. The only bit that is bothering us is the booking of everything. The last cruise we went on in 2019 you just book it with the restaurant once on board . We are not very tech savvy 😂 so we will see how that goes , thanks for all the help take care A&J ❤xxxxx👋
Good evening A&J hope you had a good bank holiday. That card was definitely modelled on Pearl 😂. The Skydome is a great venue, not the best acoustics, but the laser show is very spectacular. We really enjoyed going to the flix , really showing our age now 😂. It’s a great way to spend a bit of time on a sea day . I wouldn’t worry about the technology for booking stuff. When you board there is usually someone in and around the atrium to help you get connected. Also you can normally book shows and speciality restaurants two weeks before the cruise starts .Also if you’re eating in the main restaurant you can just go down and if there are no tables they will give you a pager . We have booked to go in April 25 on Iona to Bruges and Le Harve for 4 nights. First cruise! Hope it will be great. Just a short taster to see if we like it. If we do then we will do a longer one and further away 😂
Hi , how exciting I’m sure you will enjoy it . Iona is a great ship with lots to do and see .Good idea to do a short one first . Bruges is beautiful although the port is quite a bit away from the town . Normally you can get a train or a shuttle into Bruges. Hope you have a fantastic time and will soon be booking for the Caribbean 😄 . Thanks a lot for watching

Hi , it was called ‘ Smoke on the Rocks ‘ . To be fair it looked better than it tasted. After a while it reminded me of an old fireplace as the smell really lingered 😂. Thanks a lot for watching really appreciate it .
