Follow us on our trips and adventures, as a couple or occasionally with family. We love to cruise usually with Princess Cruises or P&O . Also we love to holiday in Croatia. Hopefully you will come along and enjoy our experiences as we have a lot planned in the future .
P&O Iona Northern Europe Cruise .. Le Havre ..Homeward bound .
We arrived in the port of Le Havre in Northern France .This was our first ever visit to this port . As we had heard that it wasn't the most exciting of ports to visit we had booked a two hour slot in the onboard Thermal Suite .
This was going to be a chance to relax and unwind for a couple of hours . So after breakfast we headed down to the Thermal suite to be shown where the changing area was and instructions on what different Pools ,Saunas , steam rooms were available . We had great time and felt very relaxed afterwards .
We then decided we would go into Le Havre after all , we waited about twenty minutes for the shuttle bus . You could walk if you wanted to but it was a bit of a trek to the main part of the town . When the bus dropped us off there was a very large queue waiting to get the bus back to the ship .
Not the most inspirational destination we have ever visited ,it did have a very small Christmas market where we found something to eat . Plus a Ferris Wheel that we had to have a go on . That was our third Ferris Wheel of this cruise , Pearl commented that she was starting to feel like a Hamster .
On returning to the ship we had a go at the putting competition in the Atrium , before getting ready for our final evening onboard Iona .
Overall we have had a very enjoyable time , it was a shame that we missed the city of Hamburg but you can't control the weather unfortunately.
We are looking forward to returning to Iona in May when we visit the Norwegian Fjords .

After bobbing around in the English Channel for a number of days we finally reached Rotterdam .As we had no excursion booked our plan was to first of all take a look around the Hotel New York ,which is a hotel based in the former offices of Holland America . So approximately 33 hours later than planned we were finally at sea, making the very slow journey to Rotterdam . My friend and I were on the Iona last year and we went for a tour of Lisbon, tasted their wonderful custard tarts, and went for a wine tasting. Beautiful city, and great fun, especially going round in a Tuk Tuk. Magic!

Hi Guys , it’s from DJI and it’s called a DJI pocket 2 . They have a newer version out called the Osmo Pocket 3 . If you are using it to talk and interact with each other on film then I would definitely look at the microphones as well. Hope this helps

This episode must win a comedy bafta award. The funniest episode yet and there have been some crackers, comedy gold 🥇Ghent is gorgeous and often overlooked for Bruges, if you want to stay longer than the organised tour you can hop on a tram from outside the port (£6 day ticket) and get off at Blankenberge train station and get the direct train to Ghent it takes 43mins and they run every hour and a 10 mins walk to the centre (£20 return). It’s the same train to Bruges (10 mins) which we have done and it’s so easy and cheap.

Hi guys hope you're bearing up in all that heat , we landed Sunday morning from the Caribbean and it was freezing . Had to scrape the ice of the car ... welcome home 😂 . Temu 😂 .. they actually think it's a form of Blepharitis but aren't sure about the sore red rashes she gets . We had a great time in the Caribbean lovely to feel some heat .As we can't afford to put the heating on at home after they took the winter fuel allowance away 😂 . Same as usual P&O but this time on Britannia our first time on this ship . A bit more of a traditional cruise ship where they still do stuff like Ballroom dancing .

I think you will enjoy the Marella, we did Marella for the first time in December and we thought it was awesome and definitely gives other cruise lines a run for their money value and service wise.

I know as I'm typing this, you are on another trip.I hope that one got off on time. Your last day was different, and I agree, you would have enjoyed staying on the ship. Hi Rene , We are home we arrived back in the cold UK on Sunday morning . Really missing that sunshine already . Great description of Le Havre Rene.... lonely. It's not somewhere we would rush back to . We enjoyed the Christmas show as well Pearl actually got a bit tearful as she loves anything to do with family and Christmas . Hi both! have loved this series! 4 weeks till we do the same trip with my dad and brother! Have to say I've really enjoyed following along on this one! Iona is the only cruise ship we have been on so far and going on her again! Looking forward to the Caribbean one now too! We are hoping to sort something out for around October time and have been looking at a possible Caribbean cruise! So will follow that with interest also! Iona is a really great ship it was our first ever P&O cruise that we did . 4 weeks wow that has come around so quickly I bet you will have a great time .I must admit it is great getting away to the Caribbean or somewhere else nice and warm when its our cold gloomy winter . So hopefully our vlogs might give you an insight . Thank you for those kind words we really do appreciate it . Brilliant vlog as usual... never been to Le Havre think I'll give it a miss...oh my did I laugh about the toilet and can commiserate with Pearl...I went in a similar one in a port, got locked in light went off and it started doing it's cleaning process as I was using the loo..I was in a right panic so now Popeye comes with me as escort 😂... When is your next one and which ship? We watch lots of cruise vloggers but you've become our favourites as you're such fun and down to earth and Pearl's laugh is ao infectious...Happy cruising 🥰

You have to use everyone you find and then you can't get out 😂 , Poor Popeye . So we have just come back from the Caribbean , we landed Sunday morning it was Freezing . We were on Britannia this time and had a great time . Hopefully the first vlog should be out on Sunday . That is the reason this reply is so late . Brilliant vlog again guys. Poor Pearl, has she considered she may have an allergy to Pinot😂😂. Been crazy here the last couple of days with the storm 91mph winds at ours. Our neighbour lost all of there fences including the one between us both but glad it was only the fences. Trees down everywhere and lots of buildings damaged. Wish we were in the Caribbean, any room in your cases😂😂. Take care guys and enjoy the sunshine. X x
