- Next port of call was Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, this was our first ever visit to Gran Canaria . From the port it was short stroll into town , we were greeted with flags and horns from a local demonstration.
We had no plans on where to visit ,so just kept walking until we saw signs for the beach.Its a lovely beach , a firm favourite for surfers and wind surfers.
We walked along the promenade and then on to the beach itself , before stopping in local Cafe for some refreshments.
On returning to the ship we headed for one of the infinity pools to cool down ,as the weather had been beautiful .
Our Evening consisted of Dinner in one of the main restaurant, visiting the theatre , then enjoying music in a number of different bars.

Arr bless Pearl ❤ .hope her hip is better , she does like to dance good exercise 😊. Gran Canaria didn't look as I thought it would ,more built up ,but looking forward to visiting in November. We'll done with the tickets 🎟 🙌. This might be my last comment for a few weeks as we are off to our happy place Fuerteventura 😊. Hi Amanda , currently looking over Portland Harbour as I reply to your comment. That’s Portland UK not USA unfortunately. That was our first ever visit to Gran Canaria and it was ok we just wander around like we do in most places. Hope you have a fantastic and relaxing time in Fuerteventura . We were there many years ago when the kids were little and had a great time . We did this exact cruise in March this year, we did the aquarium in Gran Caneria it was brilliant probably the best aquarium I’ve been too, we had lots of rain on our 14 day cruise but it was still a brilliant cruise 🚢
Hi Julie , we wish we had visited the aquarium we have heard a lot of great things about it. That was a shame you had lots of rain on your cruise, you can normally guarantee the sunshine in the Canaries. Glad it didn’t spoil it though. Went on this cruise in march , lovely cruise but dreaful weather , never going canaries again , not for us , my husband caught covid again on the cruises , year before on arvia in carrabeen after doing 21 think we will give them a rest 😂😂

Brian meant to ask you what happens when you go to different countries with different Currencies, can the ship change up some £ to Dollars etc.
Hi Susan , so all the Caribbean countries take US dollars. We took some with us but they do take card as well . But you can get currency on the ship , I wouldn’t know if it’s a decent rate or not . Obviously if it was the Mediterranean or Canaries then we take Euros with us . Keep it in the safe in our room and just take out what we need when we get off the ship .👋👋
why don't your vids play in order, it's a tad annoying, but still watching
