20:20 I feel these horns/crests act like helmets or padding. It protects the face or body overall from vegetation and other things that may get in the way. Consider the cassowary vs the emu, they technically are the same animal, except one lives in a forest, the cassowary, while the other lives in a savannah/grassland where the emu lives. The cassowary has a crest while the emu does not.

So if you want to use a more fancy sounding plural for "rhinoceros" the word you're looking for is "rhinocerotes."
Rhinoceros comes from Ancient Greek ῥινόκερως "rhinokeros," which is composed of the elements ῥῑνο (rhino) a form of the word ῥίς (rhis) meaning "nose," and κερως (kerōs), which evolved from the genitive form of κέρας (keras) meaning horn. The Greek plural of ῥῑνόκερως is ῥῑνοκέρωτες (rinokerotes). Rendered into Latin these became "rhinoceros" pl. "rhinocerotes," because even in Latin, Greek loans sometimes keep their Greek endings, not taking Latin ones.
[Of course there we are only talking about nominative plurals, as in Greek or Latin, endings will also differ based on case. Ancient Greek even had a different set of endings for "dual" (just two things, whereas plural is for three or more). But since none of those are ever used in English it matters little to the discussion.]
Here's a little bit about Latin vs Greek based plural endings:
    Latin:
    -us → pl. -ī
    -ius → pl. -iī
    -Ø → pl. -ī (Ø = no ending, ie ends in consonant)
    -um → pl. -a
    -a → pl. -ae
Notice how unless maybe it's part of the root, we don't have -os, nor for that matter -as, -es, -e, or -on. Any of these and it's more likely to come from Greek, and if you wanna be fancy, you had better use the Greek plural.
Unfortunately, Greek plurals are WAY MORE complicated than Latin ones. Some things are easy, like -on always becomes -a (eg. phenomenon → phenomena), but most patterns, like this plural form of rhinoceros, are not easy to understand at all. To give you some flavor of this:
    Greek:
    -ας, -ης, -ᾱ, -ᾰ, -η → pl. -αι
    -ον → pl. -α
    -ος, ους → pl. -οι
    -ς, -Ø (m/f) → pl. -ες
    -Ø (n)
    → pl. -ᾰ
    -ις, -υς → pl. εις
    -υ → pl. -η
    ... and it goes on.
In this case, the element κερως (kerōs) is really κερωτ (kerōt), and the nom. singular is thus κερωτ + ς (kerōt + s), while the plural form is κερωτ + ες (kerōt + es). This is the so called "Third Declension." However, the cluster of τς (ts) has become reduced to just ς (s), giving us "rhinoceros" for singular and "rhinocerotes" for plural.
"Octopus" is another good example to talk about, because you would think it's a Latin derived word whose plural would be "octopi." However, no self-respecting cephalopodologist would use that word, because "octopus" actually comes from Greek ὀκτώπους (oktōpous), whose plural is ὀκτώποδες (oktōpodes), meaning the most "proper" plural would be "octopodes." Again we have a sound in the root that disappears or changes in the nominative singular, but reappears in declensions. Greek is confusing in that way.
It's thus no wonder that Latin endings are way more popular, and some words of Greek origin just get morphed into Latinate ones. For example, hippopotamus comes from Greek ἱπποπόταμος (hippopotamos), and the Greek plural would be ῐ̔πποπότᾰμοι (hippopotamoi), but instead the Greek -os ending has been replaced by Latin -us, and the Latin plural is "hippopotomi." Or how about your one of your favorite words: "dinosaur," sometimes seen in the Latinate form "dinosaurus," whose plural would be "dinosauri." However this word for "terrible lizard" is constructed from Greek, and would δεινόσαῦρος (deinosauros) in Greek, with a plural of δεινόσαῦροι (deinosauroi).
Finally, I will just say that according to Wiktionary, "rhinocerotes" would be pronounced "rye-NAH-ser-roats" in English, but if you're already using a fancy Greek plural, I would personally go with something more like "rye-nuh-SER-uh-teas." The former reminds me of people who misread "Persephone" as "PER-suh-phone" (like "telephone" ).
But of course, you could just say "rhinoceroses" as that's the normal standard English plural. :p

When I was a kid, there was this store in the mall that I would always visit for it's dinosaur models (I don't think they were "toys" even though I used them as such), and I'm surprised that a good number of them have been featured on this series, either as the subject of the episode, or just chilling on the background. For example, I have the exact same beautiful gray/black elasmosaurus model that's seen on the right side of the screen, just about head-level. It's amazing to read the comments on here and find mutual links with a random piece of plastic that my parents bought me ~25 years ago. Also, I'm from the Philippines, so almost exactly the other side of the world from most of this channel's audience.

Oh my god I just remembered, so I had a higher quality version of that spinosaurus toy where it's just a bigger version with more detail, I think it was meant to be dimetrodon! Its quadrupedal and has carnivorous teeth, it has a big spine that dimetrodon is known for, if the manufacturer wanted it to be a spinosaurus he would definitely make it bipedal, so yeah it's more of a dimetrodon reconstructed of only a simple description lol.

From an anatomy standpoint most of The isles dinosaurs are pretty spot on thanks to Jakes modeling talent (such as the Diablo, Maia, Rex, Giga, Para, Allo, Dryo, Stego, Sucho, Acro, Brachio, Trike, Dilo etc), some have a few stylized features here and there while others go a lot more on the fictional side like the “utah” and “spino”.

Question: I'm subscribed to a couple of outdoorsy TH-cam channels that have done videos of small monitor lizards and crocodilians, referring to both as "Dinosaurs". would it be more accurate to describe birds (one of them has a macaw) as dinosaurs seeing as the most recent info I heard had dinosaurs more closely related to birds than crocodilians.

8:23 It's most likely a lazy Dimetrodon toy. I own one that looks very similar to that and it says Dimetrodon on its belly.

Could be Jugal with a "J" sound if it pertains to the Jugular. That's just a guess, but that's the first thing I think of because of the placement.

The in "parietal" is pronounced like the in "variety." See also: "diet," "proprietor," "society." So "parietal" is pronounced /pəˈɹaɪ.ə.təl/.
