I can easily say that nothing ever ever came close to this one. Bonham! even without his what seemed like 40-minute solo. No warm-up band...The song remains the same was their opener. Agreed that Achilles Last Stand & Song Remains the Same are in my definite Top Ten, ( and Top Five as well) so I’d include: Since I’ve Been Loving You; Kashmir; Custard Pie; Rain Song; Tea For One; Over The Hills And Far Away; Ten Years Gone; Stairway To Heaven. LED Zeppelin….the group that changed rock forever. My cousin came by to pick me up in his car back when this iconic group first broke out with their first album. I had up until this point never heard of them. He had put a powerful sound system in his car and asked me to put my seat back and had me smoke a J. He then put in his 8 track, the first song was Dazed and Confused. Well I was transported out of my reality to a place that was so new and powerful that I was instantly struck by lightning, so to speak, and song after song went by and I was happy to be in that emotional realm of rock music bliss. I saw them live in Montreal. Incredible then and if they had the modern arena sound systems of today they would have been even more impressive. I have been blessed to have lived in an era that produced the music that will never get old and remain as relevant today and tomorrow as they were 50 years ago. I doubt any of todays music will stand the test of time. A few of the great bands and singers I saw live were The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Electric Light Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple etc.

Got to see them when i was still 15 yrs old. Bonham since with all of them, even Robert Plant. it's why they sounded so off when Phil Colins tried to play drums with them at one of the two reunions. the other reunion was with his son who got it right. Bonham created the music or new songs. that's why he couldn't be replaced ( my opinion).
A perfect song..everything is in sync..the drums, the layer of guitars, the bass, Plants vocals are powerful and dreamy at the same time. LED Zeppelin is an inmortal band and Jimmy Page is a producer and arranger on a league of it's own.
Originally to be called "The Campaign", this song opens their Fifth Album charging like a runaway locomotive and never lets up til Robert's vocal fade. This was Hard Rock at it's finest and no other band delivered anything like Led Zeppelin. This song stunned me in '73 cause I could not believe it was so good coming on the heels of '71's Stairway from the Fourth Album. Then of course, when Kashmir hit off the mighty Sixth Album, I think that sealed the deal for Hard Rock's Greatest Album. The Song Remains The Same, Kashmir and Achilles Last Stand are in my opinion, Jimmy's finest.
It's not that Page was the best guitarist of all time, that can be argued, but he was the greatest guitarist-producer. His genius, his triumph is his incredible creative output. Unparalleled.

If you took some heavy Cream, mixed it with the inventiveness and the colorful palette of the Beatles, the bristling energy of the Rolling Stones and the Who, stirred with the bluesiness of Jimi Hendrix, a drop of Pink Floyd and a generous portion of the psychedelic folk elements of Yes, then decant them all into a cup of pure rock and roll, this would be Led Zep for me.
Led Zeppelin… Droning on a single open D string of a 12 string (doubled, so two strings) for that intro. So simple, yet effective. Has me energetic every time I hear it.
Time and time again Led Zeppelin produces a blockbuster album of a continuous evolution of rock and roll. I hope now with album chart in the hot 100 along with Zep1-4. Can these majestic weavers of song and harmony keep it going. More at 11…
This song gets me going like my first cup of high quality coffee in the morning. Actually...this song is more intense than coffee. It's more like a 16 ounce can of an energy drink... I've been listening to Zeppelin for 46 years...since I was 11

The Beatles were breaking apart. The Stones had just lost Brian, and Mick Taylor had yet to find his place, and he would...(Sticky Fingers, Exhale on Main Street) And in all craziness of the post Woodstock turmoil these 4 musical geniuses eclipse what had been done and blaze a new direction in rock and roll. For 10 years they created a catalog of music that took creativity to another stratosphere. 50 years later this music still makes us feel young and full of joy. 😊

Led always on the list . Legend will never die❤
I’ve been trying to find this song for like 10 years. I’m so happy
The transition at 1:25! Incredible!🔥🔥🔥

Hi I Recommend a song that's called 'the bond Villain' by Robert Nix
Musical thunder, that's what Zep is to me,no other band has that energy, when I am low on energy or mood Zep lift me up.
Time and time again Led Zeppelin produces a blockbuster album of a continuous evolution of rock and roll. I hope now with album chart in the hot 100 along with Zep1-4. Can these majestic weavers of song and harmony keep it going. More at 11…
Greatest Live Album EVER !!!!!!
True music will never be Led-free🎧😎
(Btw. what a great way to begin an album, with a different direction)
This song gets me going like my first cup of high quality coffee in the morning. Actually...this song is more intense than coffee. It's more like a 16 ounce can of an energy drink...
I've been listening to Zeppelin for 46 years...since I was 11
The one who loves this music 🎶 very much 😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
Led zeppelin es una de las mejores bandas del mundo a Jonesy no le deberían subestimar los quiero tanto son muy grandiosos uff... Que gran canción es está
Absolutely correct Jonesy is a master at what he does
I heard this song for the first time when I was around 16. I'm 54 now, and still rocking out to this classic.
Same. Discovered zeppelin in the 90s as a teenager
The Beatles were breaking apart. The Stones had just lost Brian, and Mick Taylor had yet to find his place, and he would...(Sticky Fingers, Exhale on Main Street)
And in all craziness of the post Woodstock turmoil these 4 musical geniuses eclipse what had been done and blaze a new direction in rock and roll. For 10 years they created a catalog of music that took creativity to another stratosphere. 50 years later this music still makes us feel young and full of joy. 😊
