I had this exact same idea 12 years back when i was finishing my Engineering degree, but at that point of time i did not have enough money and support to design and build such a system. Then after engineering i had to start working immediately because of financial constraints and i could never put my idea into motion, but seeing this out now on youtube is kind of a sad-happy moment for me... 👍👍👍

It's a massive hit to the face and sadness but it's cool to see something go through and happier to know I could have done that if I had the money and time.

Once moving above 3 mph , the weight seems to disappear . I would now ABSOLUTELY consider your Older and thoroughly experienced rider as the One to not Dump it in a Ditch . Another point . There are Plenty of One-Legged Motorcyclists out there . An Occupational Hazard , so to speak . Doesn't stop them getting back in the Saddle . I don't think anyone cares if you are a Pilot either . @@johncunningham4820 John i didn't mention that i am a pilot to get attention or to create an atmosphere around it like i know better than others because i am pilot and honestly i don't really care if anyone cares about it because it's already a dirty , mean and dangerous thing i mean not something like pink skies and roses , romanticism etc ect.Quite oppositely i mentioned it to say i am ready to leave it anytime when i feel like my physical conditions are not fit for it any longer.I don't ditch the older experienced riders in to the rubbish bin , just like in the air on the road also experience is everything and you must bow to it.I love being in the vicinity of older experienced riders and pilots because they talk important things that you haven't experience yet and one day one of those anecdotes may draw thin line between life and death. So my respect to experience is up most and sacred and also a discipline in me.I understand what you are saying and naturally my comment made you nervous and maybe you are also right about that , I don't blame you.Maybe i am not enough rider as you are but surely i know how the bikes work and i know how the bike comes to balance while you are moving etc etc. What i am saying is if you are having difficulties to handle a bike like Goldwing or K1600GT you can get downshift to a lighter and more easily manageable bike like a Triumph Bonneville or a Moto Guzzi a lighter model of Harley etc etc.Weight of the motorcycle is also one factor that is probably more easy to manage but also with age the reactions also degrade for exemple i am 43 years old and i didn't buy the Ducati Penigale V4 because i analyzed myself and came out with the decision that i am not reactive and practiced enough to ride it now maybe when i was 30 it was fine but now it's not ( ofcourse it's an individual case you can be 60 and still be able to push this bike to it's limits ) but generally you become slower that's what I am saying.I am not staying older experienced riders shall stay in their homes and wait to die there i was only saying there are facts about age and we must not be blind and ignorant about it and must be open to change our bikes , ways and riding styles around it to enjoy it more.I apologize again if I sounded rude and arrogant , that's not the case. With all my respect to the experienced riders like you and others in this poll.

@@TheUnsungVil I’m into planes, and as such I’m not against excessive gadgetry necessarily.
It’s the fact that they would rather make excessive gadgetry for stuff that shouldn’t exist like “lanekeeping assist”, instead of useful excessive gadgetry.
I want a raymarine, not fords proprietary electronics. I want RCS thrusters or vectored thrust jet engines so I can do cool extended jumps and full speed turns with thrust instead of downforce, I don’t want massage seats or split zone air conditioning.
I want my engine to weigh half of what it does now and make twice the horsepower, and I want two of them in my car.
However, even if they did put all those cool fancy things in their vehicles, it would be cheaply made and you’d be paying 50 grand for something that wasn’t even worth 10 grand 30 years ago. Stamped metal and lost hopes and dreams.
At least motorcycles and aircraft are still made to quality standards… unless you count the Amazon motorcycles lol.

  • @s0nicfreek

I think a few people here fail to realize some people might have bad knees, or joints, but once they are mobile they can ride just fine. This product seems to be designed for just that, assistance for low speed, stops, and starts. Even folks looking to have it for convenience is fine. This is so you don't have to give up the great feeling of leaning in the bike because you had to swap to three wheels (not knocking three wheelers either, they just don't lean... Well conventional manufacturer ones).
And for those crying about the goldwing weight, it has a low center of gravity, it's designed to be a comfortable stable tourer. It may not be for you but there is a reason why it's been around since the late 70s. It does what its designed to to and it does it very well.
If this keeps people able to ride and be happy and not settle for a bike they don't want then hell yeah! Motorcycles are awesome no matter what they are.
This seems like a great product that popped up on my recommended. I don't own a GL but I ride with and know many riders that do. I'll pass it on to them.
Edit: Holy crap I forgot to mention that center stand assist... Oh man when I was a salesman that would have been nice to have after moving Goldwings around the showroom all day!

Personally, I wouldn't recommend this for anyone with disabilities - a common theme in the comments. There are simply too many situations where this will not deploy properly (uneven pavement, gravel, etc), or deploy quickly enough (to stop a fall-over, etc). It's a convenience for a heavy motorcycle, but you still have to ride that motorcycle, with ALL that entails.

    • @ArjunSharma-gy1eq

If you need stabilizers to ride a motorcycle i suggest you buy a car instead!

Our product Dorjet Landing Gear has been specially designed for biker. It has been produced to prevent bikers from falling from the Motocycle and to ensure their safety because users have difficulty in using, parking and controlling these heavy motocycle in traffic.

Obviously Roger isn't a motorcycle enthusiast. Great invention for an older motorcyclist like myself. I can still keep my bike upright ... but some day it won't be as easy. This would be a wonderful solution.

@@tjmayer9103 actually iam a motorcycle rider but if you're not able to control your machine without stabilizers then you're a danger and not in control so as i said, time to hang up your helmet and buy a car or get a more suitable machine.

Great idea this would give a lot of small riders like me confidence as being scared of dropping a large bike like this can often be an issue, even a rider who is tall or large can be caught off guard this system would pay for itself versus damages to bike when dropped!..please keep up the great products and development work..

As a past rider I love this idea. I thought about it years ago but never had the time money or know how how to build it. One problem, in your demo video it’s shows you driving between cars I’m my local you would get a $200 ticket for doing that and if they catch you doing it again is now $500. Maybe if they see how safety you can navigate they would just let you pass with a warning.

I initially thought it's a pointless gimmick, but as the video progressed I understood all it's logical applications; it's an amazing feature indeed to a specific set of people atleast considering how hard it is to handle the bike at low speeds/ in traffic/ while stationary
