Where I live, there’s two mayor companies and they both suck in rural areas where either they don’t wanna get the services on those areas or like in my case, there’s only internet in half of the urb and they don’t want to finish the other half. I got feed up and bought a Starlink and imma be setting it up soon
@@Barris_ it's really good! Surpassed my expectations ! I was paying $65 for 45mb and now I'm paying a $100 for 100mb to 200mb. Everything loads fast, gaming without lag, pings great. I got no complains here!

Better than my ISP current "max speeds" we can get. 20-30 mbps download is the fastest we can get :( thinking of getting starlink but I download a lot and am a gamer so idk if theres data caps even tho it says "Unlimited" on their website
Despite the speed is decent, at the end of the day it's a satellite connection = latency instability, and not good for online gaming. It's more for people who live somewhere isolated and there is not access to internet at all.

I installed today but it has strange speed readings or it’s strange to me??? With advanced speed test my wifi speed was greater than Starlink connection that’s showed beside it from the app.. any ideas?? I have a screen shot I’m Willing to share if someone can really help me understand the results

Then below that you will have something that looks like this Ping ms 00 00 00 Jitter ms 00 now how in the shit can you not see that the number is labeled ping? Speedtest has made it very easy for small brained people to understand
i really don’t understand the issue, for satellite internet 50-60ms is a huge deal. even when i was on fiber back before i got star link i would have the same latency as starlink & i’d never really lag that much when playing video games. unless you’re just trying to complete in major tournaments super low latency isn’t necessary for gaming. you can manage perfectly on anything below 80 from my experience.
@@itsdanielbruh4915 Depends on what you play. 50-60ms is more than noticeable for competitive gamers that play games like CS, Valorant, Fortnite, and many other titles. Sometimes its even noticeable in MMOs/RPG games.

If you get starlink, it usually means that you've got nothing even close to it's performance in your area. I'm getting around 200 mb/s with starlink and before that I could only hope for 4 mb/s with adsl or around 10 to 15 mb/s a mobile 4g service(data capped) for the same price and higher latency.

i got 250-300 mbps in middle of nowhere in Latvia with my dail in modem :D
that means a fibre passes nearby so not exactly for you
