    This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm building a 15 inch tire small wheel bike and was considering a torque converter but don't want to leave Max Torque. They are the best company out there as far as centrifugal clutches. If there is any way to mount a Max Torque driver/pulley system on a Tav2 plate with 3/4 keyed shaft I'm in. I know Comet is supposed to be the leader in torque converters but these guys who run Max Torque are the people I want to support. Brutally honest and absolutely professional, if they can stand behind their products so can I.

    Torque converters are in high demand now. The reason he has so many torque converter sitting on the shelves is China taking over the market and selling them for $60 for a complete kit. These max-torque videos are awesome! I can’t get enough of learning years of knowledge from this man!

    Thanks for this video of somone who knows what hes talken about cause he's been in the ditch. Ive tried alot of clutches and driven systems over the years. I'm 54 and still play. You have inspired me to put motors where they never were. My latest project finished is a 1980 Yamaha 125 Enduro. I built a new flatcradle and got a HF 212 and a comet 30 clone with a 10/49 #40 gearing in a 350x18. I'm impressed. It's street legal and will go 55. Plenty for a country commuter. If it wasn't for torque converters our projects wouldn't be as good. Thanks for sharing knowledge with us.

    I never knew why the karting industry died so suddenly, well this video sure explained how that happened. Fortunately there are enough resources to build your own nowadays. I grew up on them, and want my kids to have the chance to have some fun with them too. It's a shame the system changed, people got sensitive, and it subsequently ruined the industry for everyone.

    Side question, anyone know where to find #420 sprocketed Sprag one way bearing clutches? The type of thing you'd find in a 2 speed setup, been looking and asking around for awhile but no one has a clue.

  • @Baldys_projects
    @Baldys_projects 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I wish someone would make CVT torque converters for motorized bike engines because they are only 1 speed unless you get a jackshaft to use the bike sprockets for gears but single speeds are usually geared for 35-40mph with a 44t sprocket using a 26" tire and the clutch burns up easy if you don't peddle on takeoff with a upgraded engine making 5hp or more, with a CVT a motorized bike would have a much faster acceleration and a lot less reliability issues.

    • @lazzer408
      @lazzer408 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Belt drive CVTs use quite a bit of power. There are jackshaft options available for motorized bikes which use the bike's chain ratios for all the torque you'll ever need.

  • @derekhott5447

    Any possible way to get a clutch modified to fit a modified motor? I have a 7/8 oval shaft, modified with keyway and 7/8to1inch sleeve, I have a heavy duty clutch from go power sports and it does exactly what I want with the kart it is pulling, only problem is the clutch wont slide all the way on the shaft, it has 1inch bore yes but has 5/8 end with the sprocket clamp. Is it possible to get the clutch bored all the way? Or have one made?
