Those are fantastic engines. I've found that you clean their carb, set the cam roller timing properly and they will start evertime on first pull, one third the starting rope lenght out. Love them !
Yeah I saw it go flyin glad you found the impellar key,LOLL! Always wondered why they put those old prop bullet gearcases on those bigger 25HP powerhead Commercials.. to save money possibly on tooling,....
I BELIEVE if you check the left side of the vice or ground close by you will find the pin, I saw a small shiny piece fly out when the pump popped up with the screw driver.
I just want to put a shout out to everybody out there he's just not an outboard mechanic him and I have been working on getting the tranny in my truck that I brought back from Cordova that I needed to put a new clutch in I'm just saying the guys amazing whatever he does
Hey kodi really enjoy watching your videos-just seem like you and-this old outboard-gives me great advice when I’m having issues with my outboard,seeing if you can help me out with this one,it’s a 1991 25hp Evinrude compression is 135 T&B-great spark-new carb kit-cleaned carb 3times,starts on first pull-butterfly opens full at WOT-just will not give me Full Power,runs 13mph on a 14ft Jon boat,does not stall or excelerate runs just would not give me full power-at one point it did for about 5min slowed it down went to give it wot again and it did the same,pulled flywheel off and noticed the charge coil was leaking a little glue on the armature plate-wish there was a way I can send you a video of it running It’s only about 25 seconds,please any advice is appreciated
