@Sadowickproduction Nice and useful video about these trance bass line progressions. Finally someone who really understand what (classic) Trance is! I'm into Trance producing for a while, I also experimenting with other dance genres, but for me making Trance music is the most rewarding to do. It's a niche market these days, not as big as the late 90's and beginning of the millennium, but I don't want to make music which is not making me fulfilled. I always enjoy Trance making and of course listening, and that's why I do it in the first place. There are a great amount of artist making Trance, and some music from this era I certainly enjoy (like progressive house, tropical house, future bass, EDM etc) but my opinion is when you ever fall in love with Trance music, it stays in your heart. Best regards, Emiel

In the 90's trance artists got way more creative with bass lines. Even into the early 00's a bit too! As the genre progressed, with the harder drum sounds taking over, it became a one trick pony with bass lines and lead sounds, with pretty much no one trying anything different. In the early days, as it was all so new I think artists were more willing to take risks and be more open to new ideas with the music. Plus everything just sounded so good with a 909 kick.

Nice! Thx as always. Not sure if you're still monitoring this, but as I don't have Xfer LFO, what would be your alternative? Also don't have Vengeance, but I have Serum so all good there.

You've got shaper in ableton, but as well one can just use automation of the volume with utility

Yo SDK, dunno if ya do requests for future tuts but thought id ask anyway.. Any chance you could do some sort of tut going through External instruments and ext mixer process integration with Ableton 10 midi and audio.. For instance i have Digitone and Digitakt running through Heat and then into Soundcraft mixer.. How would you route audio and midi through ableton for such external instruments... Best practice in your opinion ...
