Great example and well shown. But what i love most of good old Goa Trance. The bouncy and free way of Bassline. Also that you can add more. You are not bound to the 3 16th bassline. Its more like doing some baseline for old synthwave. Then with he less volumen Kick. Its makes the kick base sanction so more trippy and monoton, like Dark Forest or Dark Psy. Well or worse progressive EDM radio music nowadays.
Do you ever DJ or just produce? Would love to see how different people go about mixing goa trance especially oldschool- I find psytrance fairly easy to deal with but old goa seems to vary so much in bpm and production level..
Hey there ! Sorry, I'm not specialize in DJ mixing. I'm producer :) I know that goa trance is a way harder then psytrance. Many textures, melodies, different vibes.
The 12/24 setting on the filter has nothing to do with bits. It denotes dB/Octave and is what determines the slope of the filter... that being said I do like the tutorial.
Hello, great sound there. Is that the only EQ you did on the bassline? also, what did you do with the utility tool? I am using Ableton 9, it doesn't have Bass mono or section to type in the Hz, do I have to put a utility on it? Thanks
Hi! Thank you for comment. Yes, put Eq, but almost always I also put fab filter Saturn for multi band saturation. If you dont have ableton 9 and utility function "bass in mono" You can use EQ8 and Mid /side function to keep low frequencies in mono. On yt there is a lot of tutorials about it. Have fun! ☺
@@jaraluca Hey thanks for the quick reply. I do have Ableton 9 and utility function but it doesn't have "bass in mono" function, think you are using Ableton 10? utility function is a little different. Maybe this EQ ing is a little advanced for me haha. Thanks
@@jaraluca Appreciate your time here :) If I used Alex Hiltons A1Stereocontrol and left the stereo width at 100%, switched on the "safe bass function" and adjusted the "safe bass frequency" to 95 Hz or where ever the bass frequency is peaking, would this do the same job? Thank you again!
Awesome bassline and tune overall. Very pro sounding, maes it look so easy until you open Ableton. Using Ableton 9 and not getting the same sound at all. Have you got fxs on the bass channel? Thanks.
@@jaraluca Thanks for reply. Loving this sound so much, you are very gifted hope to be as good as you one day. Was hoping some hidden fx.... as I cant get it to sound the same. Following the best that I can, must need more pratice. Maybe if you do another video you could zoom in on operator when designing sound. Thanks.
This not a goa trance bassline. The KEY differentiator of Goa trance from contemporary psytrance is that it SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT USE the lazy three 16th root notes on each beat but that it ACTUALLY HAS A BASSLINE -- a proper melodic line in bass register.

The "ACID LEAD 2" at the end is so nice ! Do you mind sharing the MIDI pattern ?
Thank You:) remember . Never use midi patterns of someone making tutorials. I making track from this video. ☺
@@jaraluca I will remember that :) I need to practice more !
@@trackpad303 soon I will make tutorial about how I write melodies ☺

when I klick on phase at 2:46 nothing happens..... :/
when spread is on zero it would not happen :) when you click R on phase and move spread then you will hear the difference

hey man, thanks for a nice tutorial. Can i ask you where did you get your kick samples from? kind regards
thank you ! This is quite old sample pack and I found it somewhere in internet few years ago. Don't even remember where :)
@@jaraluca thanks for the answer. would you care to share it? i understand if you don't want to ofc.
Wow!!!!!
Dzięki, fajnie jakbyś kupił mikrofon i nagrywał głos :) Pozdro!
Zamierzam ! :)
My bad, but it’s sounds in first part like simply PSY Trance, not goa, but in second part similar on EBM
If you listened to it via mobile you might think it's sound like psytrance but when you use headphones or monitors probably you will change your mind
where do I get good samples from?
I just downloaded first available psy trance sample pack from website such torrents
I read goat trance at first 😂

I see you know better 😅 I released 3 full Goatrance albums and many many more releases.
And another thing. I didn't make melodies here to just show then synth sound.
You are right this is not goa trance bass line
This is not a goa bassline. I was there on vacation once, like for a weekend. And they played rick astley all day long on the radio.
beginning to the end of video : from boring to super track : -)
