I'd love a video dedicated to your deep hydration treatments. Before I knew the difference from moisture, my hair would reject the reapplication of sealants on dry hair between wash days and just be greasy & stringy, so I discounted a lot of the butters and oils as just too heavy for me...smh. Basically, my hair was telling me exactly what this video states - "you better put some water on that damn shXt!" 🥴😩
This is a great video. The terminology used here is what we teach in schools, and I highly recommend it. It's not this culture we created without any facts. Thanks Sis. You are teaching the facts.
You are the only naturalistaaaa with relevant science backed deets worth watching. I love your content. I've been a subbie for years and learnt so much from you along my natural curly /coily hair journey. And it's been really interesting watching your hair metamorphosis. Curly or straight, your video content is 👍🏾❤️.
I think moisture is a priority for me at the moment as I've kinda figured out which products I need to hydrate my hair on wash day. Unfortunately I hate wetting my hair or applying products outside of wash day so it's a struggle. Thanks for the video Nadine, you content has helped my hair so much!
Sis, your educationa videos are everything!! I am curious to know your thoughts on the maximum hydration method and whether you believe it is beneficial to incorporate it in your hair regimen.
Hey girl! Personally I think it’s long winded and hydration should be incorporated regularly in the hair routine so you shouldn’t need to do big long winded treatments like the MHM xx
So should I get hydrating products or just use water because I’m natural and rarely use heat? But I’m finding that I have to constantly moisturize my hair daily
How do you keep your hair hydrated? Do you wash it every week or every two weeks? And how do you maintain it in between? I know it's a lot of questions but I'm new to this and I don't want my straight hair to become dehydrated 😮😊 Do you hydrate your hair through your shampoo and conditioners?
Hello I wash day every 3 weeks which is the absolute most I’d go & I use hydrating shampoo, my conditioner contains humectants and a deep hydrating treatment every wash day xxx
@@naturalnadinee now I understand!!!! Okay so the hydration comes from pre-styling with includes shampoo and deep conditioner. I purchased the hydrating shampoo and conditioner from KaraCare that you recommended and the Joi kpac. I look forward to using it and I'll let you know how things are going! Thanks
Technically yes but gels aren’t sealants because they can also dry out the hair gels like eco styler etc wouldn’t be doingg much good you’ll always need a base leave in to protect your hair, some higher end gel s that have better ingredients are slightly better xx
Would using hydrating shampoo, conditioner and silicone during wash days keep the hair hydrated till the next wash day, if wash day is every 3 to 4weeks? If not, how can hydration be maintained in between wash days?
So I’m thinking of getting a keratin treatment and I’m wondering if that will make my hair more brittle and make it break off? Would you recommend if I plan on becoming a straight hair natural once my hair gets longer?
Hey girl I would only recommend doing a keratin treatment if your hair routine is SOLID. They can definitely increase chances of breakage if you don’t maintain properly. With that being said if your hair routine is solid I’d 100% get a keratin treatment! They strengthen the hair, form a barrier on top which builds the cuticle and keep the hair straight so limits the heat you need to put on your hair 10’s across the board!xx
Both for me. The glycerin/h2o mix with heat for hydration followed up with the leave-in for moisture. Thanks for the info babes 💎
Love that I definitely leaning more towards hydration these days but i always need both!xx
Girl you are knowledgeable, greatly appreciated!
Thank you girl 🤍
You’re onto something !
I don’t know how long you have had your channel, but girl I’m glad I found you. I really like the content you put out.
Aww thank you so much girl 🤍🤍

Oh I definitely should! Thank you && absolutely hydration is so necessary before moisture xxx

That’s good! I think moisture is the easier one to get the hang of so if you’ve cracked hydration then it should all really help thank you xxx
Sis thanks so much for breaking it down! Didn’t realize the two are so different. I always use the terms interchangeably but now I know! 💐💞
So did I girl! When I learned it really changed the game for me thank you!xx
Coming from a scientific approach just makes sense…. Thank you for educating me.
we need a everything hair was routine to retain length 🥺
So hydrating is putting water into the hair shaft and moisture is keeping water in the hair but more so at the surface.
Makes sense.
Xxx

What hydration products do you reach for as a straight-haired natural? I'm very concerned about my hair becoming dry. Thank you 😊

Hii, I love your channel! Can you do a comparison between Olaplex no.0 or no.3 and the K18 repair hair mask? 😊

@@kearstenw3855 mind if I ask how it's going?
@@kearstenw3855Do you like that shampoo? I had to switch to a different hydrating shampoo. It was too drying for my hair.
Can gel (eg xtreme, ecco, etc) lock in hydration. For exaple, applying gel on wet hair.

Using glycerine in dry climate like Nigeria is said to be drying to the hair... What do you advice? What's your take on film forming humectants
In its pure form I’d stay away put hydrating hair products tend to have a low concentration of humectant for this very reason typically
