Thank youuuuuuuu! You are speaking my language. I am licensed cosmetologist and I'm a firm believer in heat training for straight naturals. I have been spreading the word about heat training for over 2 years since I started my journey. I wrote a book about it because i believe in it so strongly as an alternative to chemicals. Let's continue to spread the word about this. ❤❤❤❤❤
@@flamehicks5934 what I have found is that once you hair is heat trained the hair frizzes and puffs less in the summer time. My go to is the WOW hair product that’s been popular on multiple YT videos and also Paul Mitchell super skinny. Right before I flat iron, I use a dime size of the Paul Mitchell on my whole head (a little goes a long way) it can weigh the hair down. For the finish, I use Kenra’s anti humidity spray. Once your hair is used to being straight it should stay straight longer..Also, dry hair tends to frizz. Make sure you’re hydrating your hair. Lastly, Olaplex is my best friend in regard to bond maintenance… You just have to do research and learn what your hair needs and what works best for you! Good luck!!
lol i knew when you mentioned silicon you were gonna pull out the dominican products. i grew up with those exact treatments you have 😭 being straight natural is pretty much the norm so we have a lot of good products. right now i’m using the ‘crece pelo’ (‘grow hair’) deep conditioner and shampoo and i have seen much more rapid growth so far for me. for a protein centered treatments i totally reccomend ‘ligao de leche’ products, both curly girls and straight naturals get really good results from those.
Wow! 2 years ago my Dominican manager had gifted me Silicon for my hair (Jamaican girlie with fine, dull, unmanageably tangled “4c” hair). At some point I had stopped using it because I watched a few TH-cam videos stating that it’s bad for our hair, scalp, skin, environment etc. I forgot that this was the only change to my hair regimen & was wondering why my hair has been struggling so much for the last 8 months. Now I see why. Thanks for your unique perspective! I’m going straight to the store & picking up two bottles!
Loving your videos!! I'm looking forward to starting my straight natural journey. Do you use the silicon bambu every wash day as a replacement to your conditioner? Thank you for your content it's soo helpful and I love seeing a UK girlie 😊
Hey girl thank you so much! & Noo I make sure to use my conditioner and deep conditioner first do my treatment to get my hydration then I apply silicon mix on top to lock it all in! X xxx
Your hair did grow a lot. You know what you’re doing. Is it good to clarify hair as a straight natural? How often do you clarify your hair? What clarify shampoo do you use?
Thanks girl! And I use a hydrating shampoo but I lather twice maybe 3 times depending on how much oil is in my hair I don’t really use clarifying shampoo anymore because I don’t really use thick creams/products which I used to when I had curly hair xxx
Your recommendations are always *chef’s kiss* how often do you use the bambu silicone mix? Each wash day or once a month? And do you alternate between protein/cholesterol treatments or use everything in one wash day? Love your content girl, sorry for all the questions 🥰
thank you girl! and i use the bambu one every wash day which for me is around 3 weeks, I use the original one less often just when my hair feels like it needs a little extra and I dont really do protein treatments as such because all the products i use contain keratin. I prefer a little and often approach to protein rather that big treatments now xxx
Just gonna put all of my trust in you lmaoo I’m so tired of my natural hair but I also want to preserve it the best I can while going straight, do you have any tips for hair that gets oily fast?
Wish you all the best girl and ughh I definitely suffer from hair getting oily fast, dry shampoo is my best friend and minimise oils used on the hair, wear hair with abit more texture and not as straight also helps with less oily hair but other than that it just is what it is😫 xx
Yasssss!!!😍thanks for sharing the info. Loving your hair💎 Sis soooo as a curly natural how would I hydrate and add moisture to my stands during the week after adding the silicon mix? (Since this is silicon base and it coats the hair) I normally wash my hair monthly and hydrate/moisture on a weekly bases. 😅
Hey girl and ohh if you only wash monthly then this isn’t ideal, try lighter silicones like in a conditioner to prevent build up etc. When I was curly I washed my hair weekly, mid -week moisturising never quite did it fah me so I never really got build up xx
I was so happy to hear Bambu Silicon was good for hair I almost kissed my TV!!, I was told in the early 2000s that I shouldn't use it, that it would damage my hair (I'm natural) now that I've heard from a SCIENTIST no less, that it's a go- to product of your's I'm over the moon. What's your email address Nadine?.
Believe it or not girl, I just set up an acct on Instagram this morning 😁hopefully it will be available and accepted? let me mention some products I'm in U.S. thumbs up or down on Nexxus Keraphix shampoo?, Chi keratin silk infusion, and a hair clay by Naturelle Grow indian clay deep conditioner?. Last but not least are you against hair oils? thanks a bunch,@@naturalnadinee ❤💜❤🧡
Thanks for your recommendation on Lador lpp keratin treatment. It works great for relaxer hair. I hope can get my hands on Lador damage protector conditioner that has ph 4.5.
if we have type 3 hair does the same apply? because i have 3c curly hair and i think i have low porosity hair but your video really made me think haha thanks for the tips! i like my curls but they are so high maintenance i might switch to straight natural 🤭
Hahah it’s definitely worth getting to know your hair as best as you can but yea all still applies regardless of curl pattern && I hear ya on the high maintenance whatever suits you at this moment go for it xxx
Omg I thought silicones like dimethicone are bad for your hair.. I’m looking for hair serums and can’t find any because they all contain this ingredient!

Hello Nadine, two questions:1) Is the silicone mix good for natural curly hair? Also how do you use it on conjunction with the ACV?

I use the original silicone mix I’ve had for years
Can you do a wash day video?
Yes I can x
Are protected hairstyles needed to retain length and what is better for preventing breakage, sleeping with rolers or wrapping it? ❤️🥰
I think protective styles can help but theyre not a necessity to retaining length and i prefer wrapping it xxx
Appreciate you doing this drop. Can you do video on how take care ur throughout the week before ur next wash day?
I definitely need to do one of those ! Will put it on the list for sure xx

How often did you straighten your hair after wash days? when you were a straight hair natural. once a month, every 3 weeks only 4 times a year?
Thanks for your recommendation on Lador lpp keratin treatment. It works great for relaxer hair. I hope can get my hands on Lador damage protector conditioner that has ph 4.5.
