How beautifully articulated. It took years to figure out why I just did not feel comfortable in certain clothes, even if they fit. That was until I discovered this system. I was annoyed initially, but then; it clicked. i am a soft dramatic to a T. 5'9, hour glass with massive hair. If I dress way down; i look homeless. I wear one colour, fix my hair, hoops and a watch = Where are you off to? I think we are just supposed to look rich. Oy, vey! Very good presentation. So validating. Thank you.
As a SD its always great to find new videos on SD style tips. Especially, because casual clothing can be quit challenging. But Body Typing together with with Colour Analysis (I'm a Dark Autumn) really makes it so much easier to stay away from things that dont suit me!
You too? High five from one Dark Autumn SD to another! (Although I am still figuring out prints and patterns that honor the recs for both Kibbe ID and seasonal palette.)
Great video! I enjoyed seeing how Kibbe's recs for SD can translate into a contemporary idiom. I'm SD myself with a Dark Autumn palette, so seeing sumptuous colors paired with SD lines is always ~chef's kiss~ from where I sit. I recently gave birth to a daughter; needless to say, shopping for postpartum gear with an eye to honoring SD recs plus my seasonal palette has been an adventure. Wrap styles, as in tops and dresses, are where it's at. (I was happy to see wrap styles for both swimsuits and sweaters here.) Again, thank you!
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. It helped me understand why classic style outfits look off on me. & why I dislike mismatched color blocking in outfits. I have always tried to make them work & always wondered why they're not working.
Thanks for such an in-depth video. I really appreciated the detailed analysis of the outfits, it is especially important to know not only what suits you, but what does not and why it is that way. I am confused however, as I am an SD but with summer color palette, thus high contrast does not suit me. Anyway, nice video, thanks!
I’m 5’10” and soft dramatic and even when I was younger and naturally very skinny I’ve always had an hourglass figure and looked soft. I’m 49 now and love my curves
This video was fun to watch. I’m so happy to see such an in depth video series on the Kibbe body typing system that’s more than 5min long. I feel educated and entertained. I can’t wait for the in depth video on the romantic type ❤❤❤
I think the blue and black gown at 14:43 looks great on her. That's not a bad SD dress although the shapes could be rounded and clearer. The boxy mini is an obvious no.
I think it's a good advice that your Kibbe type should determine your lines, and the essence can determine the details. If you have a lot of N essence you can probably pull off some more broken lines and less sleek materials too. But your line should still follow vertical and curve and not have too much fuzzy details.
Anyone have advice on how to not look “dated” or older than I am dressing this way? I’m 35 and want a “fresher” look rather than mimicking old Hollywood man-eater diva style. I often feel like a golden girl from the early 90’s.
This was a great video to watch, thank you so much. I really appreciate it as an SD myself and feel that I learned something. Also, I would like a copy of the soft dramatic style guide. I tried clicking on the link in description page but got an error message.
Thank you so much for your kind words! And thank you for letting me know about the download glitch. I’ve fixed and tested it, so please try again. If you don’t mind, please come back and let me know you got it?

This is the BEST video I’ve ever seen on SD. Thank you. This was beyond helpful.

You understand us so well and this was really useful. Thank you so much! I want more

I loved your video thank you - very nice descriptions and I am now sure I am a SD👌💕
Any ways of combining natural essence with the soft dramatic body type?😻

Great overview - only comment is that SDs need waist "definition" - not waist "emphasis".
Thank you, you do a wonderful job breaking these down. thanks, and fyi. I signed up but there's no download
Thank you so much for your kind words!

Yes!!!
Thank you! ❤❤❤
Thank you!
I’m 5’2 and soft dramatic.
Os well done 🎉
It’s a shame that when Adele had the most weight she’s often not dressed in her lines. I would’ve loved to see her in her lines back then!!
Exotic = sexy.
Not unique or different
