Never underrated in my area of Boston. The Geils band showed up every Christmas/New Year in Boston. After, Aerosmith took over but if you wanted a party it was Wolf with J.Geils !!!
Love the album, love the song, love the way the band who's seen it all gets into it and plays this the way it's got to be played - this is so real - no fakers playing filler. This could be the most infectious album this year, master-craft. Peter has flat out delivered a rock and soul, twang and bang, heart-breaker breath-taker with Midnight Souvenir
Def not under-rated by those from the ol' college of musical knowledge. Love Jagger with Pete on Nothing But The Wheel; agree it would've been at home on Exile On Main St. He's certainly respected by other musicians.
@MANHATTANBEEFMAN not his choice I believe LOL but that's where he grew up in... but his radio and music career was launched in Boston... his solo shows & radio interviews are full of stories about the Bronx and NYC and in particular his Dad's and sister's involvement in the NY music scene as well as the Apollo theater in Harlem. His main original music roots strted there, where his sister actually introduced to him live Rock & Roll shows :)
It's a damn shame the idiots that run the rock and roll hall of fame have Peter wolf and the jay giles ban in the Rock and roll hall of fame. What will runs That place should be ashamed of themselves
@leatherneck1957 The Bronx?......I HATE the Bronx! The only good thing in the Bronx is Yankee Stadium. Who in their right mind would hail from - of all places - the Bronx!?!!
Peter Wolf's solo career is criminally underrated he is one of the last true rock n roll legends that can still put on a hell of a show
Peter Wolf IS the show!!!!
!
One of the Most Underrated Musicians...A True Rock N Roll Live Performer
